Energy Surveys & Audits

Energia can provide a range of energy audits for customers in the area of energy efficiency.

Energia has always sought to provide information on energy efficiency and electricity usage. Energia has developed partnerships with a number of energy consultants who will carry out audits on our behalf at very competitive rates.

The audits offered range from 'site walk-through' to a 'comprehensive audit' (mainly used for large energy users). All audits are designed to identify savings and have been developed to meet customers’ needs. See the details below:

Option 1 - Site Walk Though

Target Client - small shops and supermarkets etc. where energy is consumed by multiple clients in very similar circumstances.

Scope:

Discussion with Energia Account Manager:	On phone
Discussion with management:	30mins & basic questionnaire
Duration site walkthrough:	1 hour depending on size of site
Requirements:	Ideally 12 months bills based on as close as possible to actual consumption
Feedback:	By email or fax, with recommendations for level of assessment, specific projects etc.

Option 2 - Energy Profile

Target Customers - Industrial clients operating more complex systems, they can be large clients who wish to evaluate their systems or small to medium clients who require guidance on where to focus conservation efforts.

Scope:

Duration on site:	1 Day depending on size of site
Requirements:	12 months MRSO Data
Feedback:	By email or fax, with recommendations for level of assessment, specific projects etc.

Option 3 - Comprehensive Energy Audit

Target Customers - Large industrial or commercial clients.

Scope:

Period of utility bill analysis:	36 months where data available
Analysis of utility billing data:	Scatter graphs of: » Electricity v production » Space heating thermal fuel v degree days » Process thermal fuels v production Graphs of each fuel against time SPC charts of each fuel normalised for production (or other variable)
Period of utility bill analysis:	36 months where data available
Analysis of data from M&T system: (if applicable)	Yes
Analysis of data from separate electricity meters: (if applicable)	Yes
Analysis of data from separate gas or oil meters: (if applicable)	Yes
Data logging of air compressors:	Yes
Measurement of light levels:	Use of light meter in significant areas
Measurement of tank and pipe outside temperatures:	All significant areas
Boiler efficiency using FGA:	Yes, where suitable sampling point available and access is safe
Capital costs data for recommendations:	Obtained from suppliers and examples of implemented projects
Method of determining savings:	By reference to calculated (or measured) energy consumption and suppliers data sheets
Presentation of report at subsequent site meeting:	Yes
Form of report:	» Three printed copies (double sided, colour laser printed and plastic comb bound) » One 'ready only' electronic copy to allow cut and paste into AER where applicable
