Relay For Life
Relay For Life Kilkenny takes place at Kilkenny Rugby Club on July 15th & 16th. Relay for Life Kilkenny is a 24 hour community event that raises money for the Irish Cancer Society. We'll be back again 15-16 July 2017!This is the fifth year of the local participation in the national event which celebrates life and survivorship.  It’s used by many to remember loved ones lost to cancer & to fight back against the disease.Teams are of 15 people and no minimum fitness level needed.  This is a family orientated event which Celebrates Survivorship and a future with better outcomes for those who have had a cancer diagnosis . Remember those we have lost to  Cancer at the Candle of Hope ceremony.
ll funds raised go to the Irish Cancer Society.

Portarlington Community Centre are delighted to be teaming up with Festival Francais de Portarlington 2017 to bring a FREE Family Floorball Faceoff competition to this years festival. Floorball is an indoor team sport similar to hockey.Our FREE Floorball Family League will take place in the Main Sports Hall atPortarlington Community Centre between 2pm - 4pm on Saturday 15th July 2017.A team of 6 (3 must be under 16) can compete for FREE in our Family Floorball Faceoff League to be crowned Port's French Festival Family Floorball Team 2017. The winning family will receive a FREE Portarlington Community Centre Birthday Party Floorball Package.This will be a fun filled FREE Family Event the whole family will enjoy. Limerick LGBT Pride has announced that they are “delighted” to have X-Factor star Saara Aalto lined up for their festival this year.
Saara will headline the Pride Climax party at Dolans’s Warehouse the night of Saturday, July 15th. The evening will be hosted by well known Limerick drag stars Sheila Fitspatrick and Madonna Lucia and will feature performances from Dublin’s Paul Ryder and London’s Shyanne O’Shea. The event will feature 3 DJ’s with DJ Ruth on the main floor, DJ Jules in the Kasbah and Saved by the (0’s upstairs.

Yeats Exebition
This exhibition will feature nearly 50 works of rarely seen paintings borrowed from mostly private collections, this unique event will encourage visitors to see Ireland through the eyes of two very different artists working before, during and after the establishment of the Irish Free State.In their distinctive ways, both Yeats and Henry offer an insight into the Ireland of their day, the newly independent Ireland, its landscapes and seascapes and the ways of life of its people.Jack B. The organising committee are working hard to organise a countywide weeklong programme of events for the Fleadh. Salmon Festival

Street Fest
Cairde Sligo Arts Festival is delighted to collaborate with the Creative Ireland programme for this year’s closing event.
An afternoon of street theatre, music, circus workshops, arts activities for kids and more. Featuring Ouch Entertainment’s hilarious street show Yodel where contemporary circus meets traditional Alpine culture in a splendid display of stupidity. We will be joined by Realta Entertainment for circus workshops where kids can learn juggling, plate spinning and slack rope walking and by Sligo based screen print and design company Pulled for workshops where kids, young and old, can hand screen print their own post cards or tote bags. We’re also delighted to welcome Wayne O’Connor for an animated, high spirited storytelling session.

Petlands Park
We invite you to come and explore Peatlands Park . This extensive park has a wilderness appeal. It is situated near the shores of Lough Neagh just off the MI at exit 13 south of Dungannon. The Park provides a unique opportunity to experience both peatland and woodland habitats and their wildlife. It also offers visitors tranquil walks through peatlands, woodland and traditional orchards, with a bog garden viewed from boardwalks where features include insect-eating plants. The Park is home to a wide range of wildlife including meadow pipits and cuckoos, and many types of insects, particularly butterflies, moths, dragonflies and damselflies. Many woodland and wetland birds and several species of waterfowl nest here. Red and grey squirrels, badgers and hares are also present, while lizards and newts can be found in the open bog areas.
Train; The Peatlands Park Railway is in operation on weekends and Public Holidays from Easter Sunday through to 31 August 2017 from 13:00 to 16:00.
