Dublin Maker is a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning. The festival event itself is a culmination of ‘hack, craft and make’ activities, which began with the launch of the open call in March 2018 and has been slowly building throughout the year in preparation for the main festival event, held this July. Makers range from tech enthusiasts and crafters to educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors, and commercial exhibitors. They are of all ages and backgrounds, coming from all over Ireland and beyond. Maker Ireland’s mission is to entertain, inform and connect the makers of Ireland while inspiring the next generation of Ireland’s makers and inventors. Dublin Maker will again take place during the Festival of Curiosity, Dublin’s outstanding science festival. Partnering with Curious, this year will again see the two groups helping to make a truly unforgettable weekend full of science, creativity and curiosity. Get down to Merrion Square this July for a free family festival in celebration of making.

During the course of the show, the time honored traditions of Anatevka are both embraced and challenged by Tevye and his colorful community, as they witness his daughters, Tzeitel, Hodel and Chava, grow up and fall in love in a time of extraordinary change. Fiddler on the Roof’s Broadway premier became the longest-running Broadway musical in history, a title it maintained for almost ten years. It is a story that captures the essential human longings for love, community, success, freedom, family, and meaning.
