Teddy Bear Picnic   
Hop on board the Rathwood Express with the 3 Bears & your new Teddy Bear.  The Rathwood Express will take you down to the woodland to feed the Geese. After the Train journey the children will enjoy a picnic with their new friends.  The picnic will include Drink, Cookie & Fruit all supplied on the day.

The Battle of the Somme – Film Screening             
The St. Patrick’s Cathedral invites to a special screening commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. Shot and screened in 1916, “The Battle of the Somme” was the first feature length documentary about war.   In the first three months of its release the film was seen by around 20 million people in Britain and Ireland, informing and challenging the public with its images of warfare and changing the way film was perceived.

Inspirefest FAMILY FRINGE    
Inspirefest Family Fringe brings together the leading Irish STEAM community groups: CoderDojo, Girls Hack Ireland, GameCraft, TOG, Hardie Kids, Coding Grace, TCD Walton Club, Physics Buskers, CONNECT and Dublin Maker who will be offering a whole range of activities.  From coding and hardware hacking workshops to interactive exhibitions and games, there will be an abundance of activities for small kids (7+) and big kids too!

Arts & Crafts Fair    
This Arts & Crafts Fair in St.Peter's Church, set in Donadea Forest Park, is well worth a visit.  Lots of interesting handmade, unique, local craft items on offer and an opportunity to explore this beautiful historic building.  A perfect outing for all the family. Funds raised will go towards restoration work to maintain this lovely building.

Kilkenny  Soccer & Sounds     
Day long celebration of local music and soccer talent in the wide open spaces of the Fairgreen.  Plenty of food, party games and entertainment to ensure that you don’t have to go home.  Selection of special guests and music acts to satisfy every taste. The only complaint last year was it finished too soon.  Raising vital funds for Callan United AFC and Mount Carmel Nursing Home.

SeaFest 2016 Maritime Festival               
SeaFest is a key part of Harnessing our Ocean Wealth: An Integrated Marine plan for Ireland (HOOW) and its goal of increasing participation and engagement with the sea.  As a showcase of Ireland’s abundant maritime resources SeaFest not only serves to raise awareness of the value and opportunities provided by the sea but also acts as a celebration of Ireland’s proud maritime heritage.  SeaFest 2016 runs from June 30th to July 3rd, incorporating a series of marine-related business and research events, the Annual Our Ocean Wealth Conference, as well as a maritime festival running over the weekend.

Epic Tour - Viking Triangle      
This guided tour, includes access to six national monuments and is a wonderful way for visitors to get an overview of Irish history as well as the historic and archaeological treasures of the Viking Triangle.
