Sunday, 2 July 2017, 12:00 Noon, Phoenix Park, for the exact location please check out the map that will be published, We would like to welcome our friends, our fellow activists, members of minorty/migrant/Muslim groups, our refugee friends and asylum seeker brothers and sisters in direct provision system, members of the Traveller community and to our Solidarity Picnic.
This will be a family friendly event with children activities. 
We will provide BBQ food including halal meat and vegetarian.
You are most welcome to bring a dish. 
There will be more details announced and we are in contact with various communities, other groups etc to plan the day.

Maryland State Boychoir concert
Wicklow are proud to host a free concert that will feature the Maryland State Boychoir’s prestigious Tour Choir, along with the tremendously talented Wicklow Community Choir, directed by Tony Norton. There will be a donation box for voluntary contributions.  The Maryland State Boychoir is a diverse group of talented boys who love to sing. The Tour Choir usually consists of a maximum of 20 unchanged voices (trebles and altos) and 15 changed voices (tenors and basses).

Strongman Festival
Hook Lighthouse hosts a festival with a difference, as some of Ireland’s leading ‘Strongman’ competitors descend on the 800-year-old tower. Over 15 competitors from all around the country will be battling it out for the title of ‘Hook Strongman 2017’.
Entrants include the Republic's previous strongest man, Italy’s strongest man and world-class power lifters. Alongside the serious display of strength, Hook Lighthouse is planning lots of seaside and piratey fun with events for all the family.

The Abhainn Ri Festival
The Abhainn Rí Festival, is a unique community festival that showcases the diverse and exciting cultural and community life of the small town of Callan. Now in it’s 8th year, the eclectic festival’s ten day programme, running from Friday 30th June to Sunday 9th July, is bursting with visual art, music, theatre, heritage, inclusion, street theatre, architecture and food events. Trilogy Kids Aquathon is back again this year! This year we have a Splash & Dash option in all age
categories to cater for the less confident swimmer.
The Splash & Dash swim is 50m in all age categories and then the full run. Your child's age category will be determined by the age they will be on 31 December 2017 as per Triathlon Ireland Rules.

The Legacy of Percy French
The Legacy of Percy French ( 1854-1920) is a performance of music, stories and song, that celebrates the works and remarkable life of Irelands greatest songwriter.The show and music CD by Peadar MacMahon and Friends has been delighting audiences at festivals in the USA for the past few years. It received a wonderful reception when it had it's Irish debut at the Percy French Festival in Castlecoote, Co.Roscommon in 2016. The show is returning again in July this year to the festival and other venues in Ireland.

Sea Fest
SeaFest, Ireland’s national maritime festival, takes place this year in Galway on Friday 30th of June to Sunday 2nd of July.

We are excited and looking forward to our July meet up which will be held again in the car park of the former Carroll's Tobacco factory at DKIT Dundalk. Please enter via the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Land of the Giants walking trail
Welcome to the Land of the Giants, the Forest Walk extension to the Clare Lake Walk in McMahon Park, Claremorris.
A towering yellow door, a red chair that belongs in the world of Roald Dahl’s Big Friendly Giant, an enormous set of keys that can never be lost, dangling from a random tree and a caged T-Rex dinosaur, – these are just some of the sights to behold. 
“Two giants, Clare and Morris, live here, but nobody has ever seen them”. 
Mayo has so many wonderful looped walks but The Land of the Giants is a first for Ireland, with its handcrafted wooden features to help guide you around the 4.5 km route.
Its family, buggy, bike and wheelchair friendly and with a total distance of 5km and with a flat terrain, it’s a walk for all.

The Legend Ted Keenan
 – Triple Channel Swimmer (1934-2013)

This exhibition celebrates the unique achievement of Enniskillen born Ted Keenan. On the 13 August 1972 he became the first Irish man to swim the English Channel; a year later Ted swam the North Channel and in 1975 he swam the Bristol Channel. He was the first Irish man and the second in the world to achieve this remarkable feat. This display made possible by Ted’s family, offers us a wonderful personal insight into the life of Ted Keenan.

Borrisoleigh Festival
Wheelbarrow Extravaganza will feature at this years Borrisoleigh Festival which takes place on July 1st and 2nd.
The competition is open to everyone to submit their modified wheelbarrows to be in with a chance to win some great prizes. Your imagination is the only limiting factor in this unique competition!
The wheelbarrows must meet the eligibilty criteria of having one single wheel at the front and two supporting legs and two handles at the rear and be capable of being moved by one person.
There is fantastic scope for individuals, community groups and businesses to come up with their own unique designs, decorations and modifications. Whether you want to make a wheelbarrow from old pallets, show off your prize begonias, decorate in your club colours or add solar panels and gadget charging stations to your wheelbarrow, the choice is up to you and the fame and glory is yours for the taking!
The wheelbarrows will be on display to the general public on Sunday 2nd July when the judging will also take place.

Beach Sports Ireland is an initiative to bring out fun, entertainment aspects of all sports to Ireland Beach. Sports include Cricket, Volleyball, Soccer, Tag rugby, Athletic Races, Wind surfing, and more..
This year Beach Sports Festival is on Saturday, 1st July 2017 from 10 am to 5 pm at Bettystown-Laytown Beaches.
All sporting activities are organised by by various clubs and organisations in one fine summer day on the beach during low tide. Beach sports concept is open to all sports and all levels of players. Beach Sports idea is to have fun in sun, getting fit and play with family & friends.
