The 2017 Pride Parade
This year the parade will assemble at St. Stephen’s Green South speeches and entertainment from the start point at 12 noon. The Pride Parade will embark on its route at 2pm sharp. From there it will head through Dublin and will finish at our brand new Pride Village location which will be announced very soon!

Flavours of South Dublin Food Festival, sponsored by Energia, is a unique food festival that will showcase the very best cuisine from the locality, and aims to highlight the diversity and vibrancy of the food culture in the county.
The festival will bring together wonderful restaurants, eateries, and suppliers, with cultural elements and crafts also on display. Flavours of South Dublin also aims to bring together all the different communities living in South Dublin and celebrate together through food and cultural entertainment including crafts, art etc.

Pipeworks Festival 2017
Chorale Remix: David Adams & Kirko
One of Ireland’s most youthful and cutting-edge ensembles, collaborates with distinguished RIAM professor of organ David Adams. The event features interlude-improvisations from Kirkos players, as well as a new commission made possible with support from the Arts Council (An Chomhairle Ealaíon), in which composer Tom Lane presents the festival “theme tune” startlingly afresh.

Dublin Trout Juvenile Fishing Competition and family day
DTAA will host its annual juvenile and family angling competition at Courtlough Trout Fishery, Balbriggan, on Saturday 24th June from 10am till 2pm. Entry is free of charge for DTAA Juvenile members.Family and friends of DTAA are cordially invited to participate in this family fun and fishing day.Activities for the day include fly tying, fly casting, fishing for trout and a BBQ. The lake is a small trout fishery, fly fishing only from the bank and they operate a catch and release policy.Each child must have an adult supervising and helping with casting, netting, measuring and releasing as required. Eye protection (glasses) must be worn when fishing or near the lake.

The Stoneybatter Festival
This weekend see all sorts of events come to Dublin's best urban village as part of the first ever Stoneybatter Festival which runs from Friday 23rd - Sunday 25th
Friday sees the official launch by the Lord Mayor followed by Jim Carroll hosting Stoneybanter in Clarke's City Arms at 830pm, a panel discussion with three of the most interesting creative people in the area - film designer Annie Atkins (Bridge of Spies, The Grand Budapest Hotel), writer Colin Murphy (The Guarantee, Inside the GPO) and singer Radie Peat (Lankum/Lynched/Rue) followed by the Ju Ju Club Strikes Back with Claire Moloney.
Saturday sees a wide range of open day events in local museums and churches. The Stoneybatter Slideshow at 530pm in Bí Urban showcases the work of local filmmakers while the highlight of SAturdays's programme is a concert in St Lawrences Church in Grangegorman featuring the Keanettess, Mary & The Pigeons and Chequerboard.
Sunday is the centrepiece of the festival - Manor Street will be closed to traffic from 12-6 with a range of family fun events including the Woofstock dog show and Mrs Doyle's Tea Party where Pauline McLynn (Father Ted) and Anna Nolan (Great Irish Bakeoff) will try to find the best baker in the 'batter with prizes for best cake, best plate of biscuits and best plate of sandwiches.
The biggest Busking Competition in the midlands takes place in Edgeworthstown Co. Longford
Longford Summer Festival
This weekend is set to be an exciting one in Longford town, as the Longford Summer Festival takes place.
Revived last year after a fifteen-year absence, the festival proved to be a huge hit, and by all accounts the 2016 event will be one to remember.
Set to take place in the Connolly Barracks from Friday, June 24 - Sunday, June 26, the weekend will kick off with a Mega Beach Party on Friday night, with gates open at 8pm.
There will be plenty of musical entertainment throughout the three days, with local favourites Brave Giant, Tomás Skelly, Reprisal and 4 Degrees West as well as Offaly native Mundy taking to the stage. There will be many familiar faces performing during the day, too, while Reuben the Magician, Punch and Judy and Storytime with Maggi will keep the little ones entertained. In addition to the festival of live music, there will be an artisan market and family entertainment on the Market Square, Friday to Sunday, June 23 to 25.
Arthritis Care Activity Event (Overnight)
This June we will be staying over for one night in East Coast Adventure - there will be (weather permitting!) canoeing, zip-line, pier-jumping and more! meeting in Belfast and transport will be provided. At Arthritis Care they cover the cost for each young person that joins the event. Please also note that whilst we provide these events free of charge, we reserve the right to charge a fee for last minute cancellations within 48 hours of the event.

Limerick Sings International Choral Festival
Over two hundred American choristers joining local and national choirs for a wonderful weekend of singing. Choristers and audiences can look forward to performances in spectacular venues including St. John’s Cathedral, University Concert Hall and Holy Trinity Abbey Church Adare. The Cliffs of Moher will provide the stunning backdrop for a “Big Sing” on Friday 23rd June when over 100 singers will join together for a poignant rendition of “O Danny Boy”. There will also be a choral trail culminating in a performance in the Augustinian Church, as well as the eagerly anticipated vocal workshop with Anúna,
which takes place on the morning of Saturday 24th June and is open to individual singers and choristers not otherwise taking part in the festival.

The Oughterard Trails Festival
The Oughterard Trails Festival aims to highlight the wonderful walks on our doorstep and to encourage visitors and locals alike to get outdoors and explore! Bringing 90 boats and 180 anglers to Lough Ree from June 24th – 25th, the Lough Ree International Pike Classic takes place on the renowned World Predator Boat Championship fishery at Lanesborough, Ballyleague, Longford, Roscommon border. All-singing, all-ukulele playing trio " The Kooky Ukes" will turn tracks inside out and serve them back to you with a totally new vibrant flavour on our main lawn from 12pm to 3pm along with lots of garden games for all the family from 11am- 4pm. Killruddery will have our own farmed pig on the spit, sweet and savory crepes and our usual Tea room delights.

Carrickmacross Walking Tour
The Carrickmacross Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the Carrickmacross Walking Tour which runs on Saturday at 11am. This tour highlights the rich heritage that Carrickmacross has to offer, including the Workhouse, the Fever Hospital, Carrickmacross Lace, St. Joseph’s Church and the Harry Clarke Stained Glass Windows, St. Finbarr's Church, Essex Castle and much more. The tour takes a little over 90 minutes to complete and is free of charge, children welcome.
The Free Concerts will take place in two venues in the town. The already established venue of St Mary's Church of Ireland and new for this year the outdoor concerts will take place at the wonderful environs of Killarney House & Gardens. The Concerts will feature a wide range of performance including Irish Harp, Accordion, Flute & Whistle, Irish Uilleann Pipes, Guitar, Bodhrán and Vocals together with (Irish Dancing & Storytelling Killarney House Outdoor Only).

The weekend kicks off with an opening night concert at Nenagh Arts Centre, followed by music sessions in a number of bars around the town. Saturday will see traditional music workshops in the morning, a family funday with live music, food and activities for all the family at The People’s Picnic in the Castle Field. Later on in the Castle Field, the highlight of the festival – internationally renowned artists Mundy, Paddy Casey and friends will take to the stage for a free open-air concert. String Quintet concert
Sunday 25th of June will be the very last concert of the Donegal Camerata String Quintet in its current formation. After 6 successful years of chamber music making in Donegal, this would be the last opportunity to hear the group as you know it.
Violinist/viola player Lucia Spacirova is going back home to Slovakia in July and violinist Claire Cunningham has moved to live in Newry. Show you support and gratitude to those players attending the concert, witnessing this historical performance for the very last time in Conwal Parish Church, Letterkenny.

Mourne International Walking Festival 2017
The festival offers an excellent range of walks to suit all levels of fitness and ability, with routes at both high and low level. Join us for three days of walking in the Mourne Mountains, enjoy guided (g) walks with other like minded people or self guided (sg) walks, navigated at your own pace. The Festival Centre is located in Warrenpoint Town Hall, Church Street, Warrenpoint, Northern Ireland BT34 3HN. Registration is from 8am each morning.

Lough Key Park Walk & Meal in The Moorings
The walk will be approximately 5 km along one of the many waymarked trails in the park.
Afterwards we shall be heading for a meal to The Moorings Bar & Restaurant in nearby Knockvicar, to arrive by 4:30 pm.
