The Big Dig
The School of Irish Archaeology is proud to introduce their finest product the Big Dig! The replica ‘Viking House’ workshop and excavation is designed around children from 5 – 12 years of age. This innovative product allows children to explore the Viking world through a simulated and controlled archaeology dig. Children have an opportunity to experience what it is like to be an archaeologist by learning how to excavate the remains of a Viking house. They will have an opportunity to dig for Viking treasures and artefacts dating back over 1000 years and learn about our Viking ancestors through the eyes of real archaeologists!

Meningitis Research Foundation Family Fun Day              
On 16 July 2016 the charity, together with their long-term members, Pat and Roger Little, will host the above fundraiser in the Knox Hall in Monkstown, Co. Dublin. This event will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the organisation’s work in Ireland and will help raise both much-needed funds and meningitis awareness.

Galway International Arts Festival           
The Galway International Arts Festival is Ireland’s largest annual arts festival, taking place in 2016 from 11th – 24th July in the city of Galway. Galway Potters Market 
Now in its sixth year it remains the only Potters Market in Ireland and provides a rare opportunity to meet and purchase directly from such a broad variety of contemporary ceramicists. There is also a free, supervised clay working area for children and adults to get in touch with their own creativity. This Situated next to the Museum with its great cafe, the Potters Market takes place over two days during the Galway International Arts Festival.
