Carlow Regatta

Carlow Regatta  is one of the oldest rowing festivals in the country celebrating its 157th year in 2016. Eights, quads and scull racing takes place from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Teams travel from all over the country and further afield to compete.

5th annual Bundoran RNLI Lifeboat Soapbox Race          
It’s the 5th annual Bundoran RNLI Lifeboat Soapbox Race and it takes place on Astoria Road, Bundoran, County Donegal at 1pm. Prior to that there will be a skate jam as long boarders from all over the country come to skate down the course.  There will also be the €1000 ball race.  Balls are sold for just €5 - all the balls are then dumped down the hill and the first one home wins €1000! All proceeds on the day go to Bundoran RNLI - The charity that saves lives at sea!  The event is staged by the local volunteer crew of the lifeboat.
