Competitive energy provider Energia is celebrating a record-breaking month in September as it led the field for householders switching energy providers.
According to the latest Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) figures, during September 4,576 customers switched to Energia for their gas, the biggest one-month gain by an Irish supplier so far in 2014. In the same month, 7,837 customers switched to Energia for their electricity.
Energia’s success in attracting home and business energy customers mean that for the first time the company now supplies over 60,000 Irish residential accounts and 60,000 Irish businesses with electricity and gas.
Since launching in February, Energia has consistently offered Irish households the best value dual fuel bundle in the Irish market. The company’s current offer gives anyone signing up online for Energia’s Dual Fuel bundle a €50 cash-back credit. This discount will be applied to their first bill in 2015. Those choosing to switch for only electricity or gas will receive a €20 cash-back credit. This super offer will run until Sunday 16th November.
Both cash-back offers are in addition to Energia’s existing 15% discount off electricity and gas standard rates. This is the cheapest dual fuel bundle available and Energia is the only energy provider to offer this level of discount for dual fuel switchers. People can avail of this great new offer on www.energia.ie.
Energia’s dual fuel bundle will save the average household €338 over the course of a year compared to standard rates - the equivalent of over a day’s free energy every week for an average home.
Geoff Codd, Head of Marketing, Energia said, “We’re delighted that our switch and save message is getting through to this many Irish consumers. The commitment we made in February to always be competitive on price is resonating with householders and these record switcher numbers for September are proof of that.”
“Our current fantastic offer means that not only will switchers benefit from our really great 15% discount, they’ll also be able to get an additional €50 cash back off their first bill of 2015.”
“Thousands of householders have already taken advantage of Energia’s unbeatable dual fuel bundle. They can make a super saving of €338 on the average yearly bill - a particularly great boost over the winter period when energy usage increases greatly.”
