Rumours surrounding the iPhone 7 have been floating around the place, pretty much since the launch of the iPhone 6. Apple fans have been freaking out at a leaked report which showed Apple were considering the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack.
You may remember the outcries from Apple customers when the company changed the charger port. Needless to say, however, they got over it. If they go ahead with the change to the jack port customers will need to buy "Lightning headphones", use an adaptor or move to Bluetooth headphones.
Chinese company, LeEco have already scrapped the traditional headphone jack and now use USB Type C headphones. This change is already in place on the Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max 2 phones.

The company offer earbuds with a remote and mic which, they say, offers "solid bass sound that far exceed's Apple's EarPods."
More and more companies are embracing the USB Type-C ports on the latest smartphones, so this could well mean the end of the 3.5mm jack.
