It is the turn of Evan Gray to get his business, 'Laundr.ie', kickstarted on the Right Hook.
Whilst Evan’s background is in finance, he spotted an on-demand dry-cleaning service when he was travelling, and thought it would work very well in Ireland, with people always looking to save time and hassle.
George and Gerard Tannam of Island Bridge Brand Development were on hand to give the business a kickstart as only they can.
George’s Tips & Observations
George explains that time is not always the problem, it’s more the inconvenience of the delivery and collection!
He questions Evan on how he can make a profit, Evan says that he has around 1,000 customers so offers a discount on deliveries over 20 euro. Also, he is partnered with select laundrettes.
George suggested a discount to reward people using the app at the lighter delivery times to encourage usage at slower times of the day.
Ger’s Tips & Observations
Ger explains that the name is cleverly spelled Laundr.ie- an on-demand dry cleaning service. He says it is a clear, easy to use website and app. It cuts to the chase to find out where you are and when you want your dry cleaning back!
Ger also notes that sometimes people forget about their dry cleaning or lose the ticket. He says he is using the model of the food delivery business and is doing a really good job of it.
