Energy promoter goes green

June 29

Belfast-based promotion agency Skye Marketing is to run on green energy after signing up to a service it is promoting on behalf of client Energia, the largest independent energy company on the island of Ireland.

Skye Marketing Director Rebecca Faherty says the firm sells other companies’ goods and services but would rarely be in the market for these.

“We were contracted to sell the renewable energy package to small businesses throughout Northern Ireland but when we looked at the offer we thought, we’ll have some of this!”  says Rebecca.
“This is not only a good deal for us but by switching to Energia’s renewable energy tariff we are also reducing our carbon footprint,” says Rebecca. “Both features are essential to any go-ahead company and we were glad to be able to sign up. Switching was easy and there are no new lines or meters involved.”

Energia says its new green tariff breaks through the perception that green energy is expensive.” We have been able to reduce business energy costs sometimes by up to 15% and with over 45,000 business customers throughout Ireland we have a good track record. From manufacturers to PR companies and printing works to bakeries our new “green” customers are delighted to be able to obtain electricity at up to 15% less than what was previously charged ” says Energia spokesperson Mike Nugent.

Energia says businesses can choose from two switching methods: by getting an Energia agent to come out and complete the formalities (9045 9070) or by calling the customer helpline 0845 0701789 armed with the latest electricity bill, bank details and current meter reading.
