Centre saving 10% on gas costs in new deal with Energia

The National Aquatic Centre in Abbotstown have signed a new gas deal with competitive energy supplier Energia, taking advantage of 10% savings on offer to new gas customers.

Under the terms of the deal Energia will provide the National Aquatic Centre with gas over the coming two years. The deal, valued at €600,000, will see independent energy firm Energia supply all of Centre’s requirements for 18 GWhs of gas each year.

The deal is another win for Energia as it grows its market share in the business gas market. Energia has been steadily  growing its retail gas business over a number of years and today is the gas supplier of choice to over 25% of the largest industrial and commercial gas users in Ireland. The flexibility of Energia’s offerings gives customer’s a greater choice than the two fixed tariffs currently on offer in the market place.

Commenting on the deal, Teifion Williams, General Manager of the National Aquatic Centre said: “Gas is one of our biggest day-to-day costs at the National Aquatic Centre. It means a great deal to us to be able to access significant reductions in the cost of gas by switching to Energia. This is especially true in the current business climate, where cost efficiencies are more important than ever. We were also impressed with Energia’s strong commitment to customer care and service quality.”

Gary Ryan, Sales and Marketing Director of Energia commented: “We’re delighted to be able to offer our really competitive gas product to the National Aquatic Centre. It is in any business’ nature to look for the best deals available. Energia’s gas offering is clearly a leader for Irish business.”

“Energia’s energy offerings, whether gas, electricity or dual fuel, are all about competitiveness. Our incredibly competitive electricity offerings to business are now being repeated for business gas users.”

Energia has a 25% market share of the business electricity market on an all–island basis with 40,000 customers. Energia has offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Belfast and Omagh.
