Green energy on course for local golf club

August 14

Independent energy supplier, Energia has agreed a new energy supply deal with Banbridge Golf Club, saving the club up to 15% on electricity costs.

The new deal is also set to reduce the golf club’s carbon footprint, as the electricity supply is generated from a renewable energy source.

Captain of Banbridge Golf Club, Dougie Stevenson highlighted the importance of the deal,
“Energy is one of the clubs major outgoings so it made perfect sense for us to switch to Energia’s new energy tariff, as it will greatly reduce our electricity costs.”

Mr Stevenson continues, “The golf club is situated in beautiful parkland and we are thrilled to be able to compliment this with this renewable energy deal and reducing the environmental impact of the club.”

Energia says its new green tariff breaks through the perception that green energy is expensive.
“We have been able to reduce business energy costs sometimes by up to 15% and with over 45,000 business customers throughout Ireland we have a good track record. From manufacturers to PR companies and printing works to restaurants our new “green” customers are delighted to be able to obtain electricity at up to 15% less than what was previously charged” says Energia spokesperson Mike Nugent.

Any business in the area can switch to Energia easily as there are no new wires or meters, just a phone call. To switch choose from two switching methods: by getting an Energia agent to come out and complete the formalities (9045 9070) or by calling the customer helpline 0845 0701789 armed with the latest electricity bill, bank details and current meter reading.
