Moran Hotel Group books major saving in gas and electricity deal with Energia

Energia providing 10% saving on gas costs

The Moran Hotel Group have announced details of a major new dual fuel deal with competitive energy provider Energia . The deal sees Energia supplying gas and electricity to the G roup’s hotels in.

Energia will be supplying their dual fuel offering (electricity and gas) to the Silver Springs Moran Hotel, Cork and the Red Cow Moran Hotel, Dublin . Energia will also be providing gas to three of the four Bewley’s Hotels in Dublin at Ballsbridge, Newland’s Cross and Leopardstown.

The deal with the Moran Hotel G roup will be worth over €1.2 million to Energia, and is set to run for an initial one year period. The terms of the deal are also providing Moran Hotel G roup with significant savings on the group’s gas costs.

Commenting on the deal, Michael Moran, of Moran Hotel G roup said: “We are delighted to be working with Energia , not only for the cost savings and effect on our overall cost competitiveness, but also because we see this is a very positive environmental initiative.”

Gary Ryan, Sales and Marketing Director, Energia commented: “Competitive energy prices have never been more important for Irish business. This major new deal with Moran Hotel G roup shows Energia ’s ability to offer Irish business fantastic value for all their energy needs.

He continued, “Building on our 25% share of the business electricity market, Energia is now making major moves in the business gas market.”

Energia has a 25% market share of the business electricity market on an all–island basis with 40,000 customers.Energia ’s power stations at Huntstown in Dublin have the capability to supply up to 17% of ’s electricity requirements on an all-island basis. The company also supplies 20% of all gas consumed in by the country’s largest industrial and commercial gas users.
