Savvy shopping saves SuperValu Drogheda 10% on energy costs

SuperValu Drogheda are proving that businesses can benefit as much as consumers from shopping smart, as they are set to save 10% on their energy costs through a new “dual-fuel” deal with competitive electricity provider Energia.

The dual-fuel deal will see SuperValu Drogheda access significant savings on both gas and electricity supplies from Energia. The deal will run for an initial one year period.

Commenting on the deal, Danny Bowe, Owner, SuperValu Drogheda commented: “Like our customers, SuperValu Drogheda has a keen eye for service and value. This new deal with Energia, incorporating both gas and electricity, will result in significant savings of up to 10% on our energy costs.”

Energia has a 25% market share of the business electricity market on an all–island basis with 45,000 customers. Energia power stations at Huntstown in Dublin have the capability to supply up to 17% of the electricity requirements on an all-island basis. The company also supplies 20% of all gas consumed in Ireland by the country’s largest industrial and commercial gas users.
