Belfast design company goes green

June 08

The office interior design company’s showroom, which comprises 2500 square feet and office facilities for 8 staff is located in Belfast City Centre and will be powered by electricity from Energia’s 220MW renewable energy portfolio.

Angela Gilchrist from Innov8 Office Interiors said the company was keen to utilise green energy and Energia provided the best energy solution for them.

“The process of changing to a renewable energy supply was very simple as it didn’t require a new meter or wiring, allowing business to continue as normal. Having initially believed green energy would be too expensive for a family owned business like ours, we were thrilled to realise it would actually reduce our current electricity costs.”

Energia Spokesperson Michael Ringland commented that increasing numbers of businesses large and small are realising the benefits of renewable energy, “Companies across Northern Ireland have reduced their electricity costs by up to 15% having signed up to our green energy tariff. Energia has a 25% market share of the business electricity market on an all–island basis, with over 50,000 customers who are experiencing the benefits of our excellent customer service. In addition to helping companies switch to renewable electricity, Energia is also providing advice to help organisations implement energy saving strategies.”
Businesses wanting to connect to Energia can do so by calling, 028 9073 0159 for an agent to visit your organisation, or contact the customer helpline,
