Cummins Sports are winners!

Cummins Sports are set to benefit from winning savings on their electricity costs after switching to Ireland’s leading independent energy provider Energia.

The terms of the deal will provide Cummins Sports with significant savings on the group’s electricity costs.  The deal, worth over €60,000, and is set to run for an initial one year period. Energia will supply over

350 000 kWh each year to the Cummins Sports stores in Cork.

Commenting on the deal, Eoin O’Connell of Cummins Sports said: “We are in business since 1971 and have always traded on the basis of giving our customers the best value in Sports goods.  To achieve our objective we continuously monitor and seek to reduce costs.  Switching our electricity requirements to Energia has enabled us to make substantial savings on our energy costs. This is another saving which will ensure that we offer our customers the best value available in Sports goods in Cork.”

Aidan Brennan, Key Account Manager, Energia commented: “We’re delighted that Cummins Sports are joining the winning team for energy supplies. Like over 50,000 other Irish businesses, Cummins Sports have decided to switch their electricity supplier in order to access significantly reduced business costs .”

He continued, “Energia’s competitive energy offerings, gas, and green and conventional power, can make a real difference to businesses’ bottom line. Building on our 25% share of the business electricity market, Energia is now making major inroads in the gas and umetered electricity markets.”

Energia has a 25% market share of the business electricity market on an all–island basis with over 50,000 customers. Energia’s power stations at Huntstown in Dublin have the capability to supply up to 17% of Ireland’s electricity requirements on an all-island basis. The company also supplies over 20% of all gas consumed in Ireland by the country’s business gas users.
