Gamestop captures electricity costs

GameStop, the world's largest games specialist retailer has signed a new electricity supply contract with competitive electricity provider Energia.

The deal will see Energia supply over 2 GWhrs (Gigawatts hours) to GameStop’s network of 55 stores throughout Ireland.

GameStop Ireland is part of the GameStop Corporation with in excess of 6,500 retail stores throughout the United States, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, Austrailia, France and Switzerland.

Energia had the most competitive package offering significant savings on our electricity costs ultimately making GameStop a more competitive and better proposition for the consumer”.

Energia has a 28% market share of the Irish business electricity and gas market supplying the energy needs of over 65,000 business customers. In addition to renewable assets, the company also operates a 750MW gas fired power station in north Dublin.
