Top Retailers re-energise

Top Irish retailers are boosting their competitiveness by up-skilling in retail studies at Dublin Institiute of Technology (DIT) thanks to a new Diploma in Retail Management sponsored by competitive energy provider Energia.

Organised through Ireland’s largest retail industry group, Retail Excellence Ireland, DIT’s Diploma in Retail Management is providing 25 retailers with important new skills. Top Irish firms represented on the course include DocMorris Unicarepharmacy, The Body Shop Applegreen, Topaz, Harvey Norman, The Dublin Airport Authority, Adrian Dunne Pharmacies, Ardkeen Quality Food Store, Tony Kealys, Arboretum Lifestyle & Garden Centre, B&Q, Butlers Chocolate Cafes, Cloughjordan Pharmacy, Colortrend, Health Express, Patrick Bourke Menswear, Petworld, Peter Fox Pharmacy, Rathwood, and Walsh’s Pharmacy Fermoy. 

DIT’s School of Retail Management is Ireland's largest and longest established retail management school. The School offers a range of full-time and part-time courses in business management with particular emphasis on the Retail and Services sectors of the Irish economy.

Energia has a 28% market share of the Irish business electricity and gas market supplying the energy needs of over 65,000 business customers. In addition to renewable assets, the company also operates a 750MW gas fired power station in north Dublin.
