9th August 2016 – Competitive energy provider Energia is set to power Wexford Youths Women for the upcoming season after a renewed sponsorship deal was agreed.

The new sponsorship deal will see Energia supply the National League champions’ kit for the upcoming season. This is in addition to the support Energia provides by supplying kitbags to the club’s summer football camp in Ferrycarrig Park and the online ticket competitions for Wexford Youths women’s matches on Energia’s social media channels. The company also supplies the electricity to power Wexford Youths FC’s Ferrycarrig Park facilities.

Wexford Youths Women’s FC Head Coach, Gary Hunt remarked, “It always makes sense to keep a winning team together. It is also wise to strengthen a team when it is strong and our improved deal with Energia proves that point. That’s why we’re delighted to renew this important club sponsorship deal. This invaluable support will help us to concentrate on another defence of the treble we won last season, the Continental Tyres’ League and Shield and the FAI Senior Cup.”

“It will also support our efforts in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. We are hosting the qualifying group of the UEFA Women’s Champions League from 22nd August - 29th August in Wexford and Waterford. It is one of only nine events in Europe and there are teams traveling from Kazakhstan, Lithuania and Moldova.”

Dee Hurley, Energia commented: “We want to wish everyone involved in Wexford Youths Women the best of luck for the upcoming season. Energia has a competitive spirit in its DNA and so it was an easy choice for us to continue this great sponsorship. We are used by businesses and households throughout Ireland and we are always keen to bring our brand and energy presence closer to the community.”

“Keep an eye on Energia’s social media channels for competitions to win tickets to Wexford Youths women’s upcoming matches, including the UEFA Champions League.”

Energia has a 23% market share of the Irish business electricity and gas market supplying the energy needs of over 60,000 business customers.

Energia has offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Belfast and Omagh.
