A single-zone heating system means you do not have control of different ‘zones’ in your home. For example if you can control your water separate to your radiators without the use of an immersion or a manual leaver such as a ‘summer valve’, or you can control your upstairs from downstairs, this means you have different ‘zones’ in your home (also known as multi-zone) and your home will not be suitable for the Netatmo Thermostat.
The portable device allows you to turn the thermostat’s temperature up and down which in turn, tells the boiler whether it should turn on or off. For example, if the room where this box is located is at 16 degrees Celsius and you want the heating to come on even though it is not scheduled to come on, you can turn the desired temperature up to a higher temperature and the heating will come on. This is a manual control through the box but you can also turn it up in the same way on your phone. The main function of the Netatmo is to control it through the app on your phone however this is a manual override if you don’t have your phone to hand and want the heating turned on or off. You will be able to set up all your schedules and desired temperatures through the app on your phone.
Once you have been deemed eligible for the Netatmo device by a member of our services team, we will endeavour to book in your installation as soon as possible. Once your appointment is set you will receive written confirmation of this. You will receive a reminder message in the days prior to your installation. The installer will call you on the day of your appointment when he is on the way.
The Netatmo is fitted in replacement of your current timeclock. Your current timeclock will be taken out and the engineer will leave this with you. There is a fixed device on your wall which is connect to the power supply that sends and receives the signal for controlling your boiler. There is also a portable device which is the actual thermostat. This portable device determines what the room temperature is and you can also use this to manually set the temperature higher or lower.
The installation should be pretty quick and simple. On average installations take about 45 minutes.

An SEAI grant is a government home energy efficiency upgrade grant made available to homeowners through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland. If you have had a heating control upgrade with or without a Boiler Replacement which was funded by the SEAI you will not be able to avail of the Free Netatmo. This is because your home would be classed as a multi-zone following on from the grant & your home is already optimised. Other SEAI grants such as Attic Insulation, Wall Insulation or Solar Panels are not taken into account for the Netatmo installation. You will still be able to claim an SEAI grant for a Heating Upgrade in the future if you wish as receiving the Netatmo has no effect on this grant.

The Netatmo application is designed with the user in mind. All of our installers are Netatmo experts! They will give you a guided tour of your new device and application on the day of your installation. If you have your heating schedules pre-determined, they will set this up while they are with you. Yes. A number of devices in your household can log in to the same account once you provide them with your log in details- so a number of people in the house can control the heating.
