As part of the arrangement with Newstalk, Energia has launched a dedicated information resource for Irish business, www.energiahub.ie, which offers essential information and practical advice for SMEs on how to reduce energy usage and costs, as well as a host of business related podcasts and videos. Running for the next 6 months the sponsorship deal with The Right Hook includes  on air promotions combined with  online cross promotional activity directed to energiahub.ie.  The joint sponsorship gives Irish businesses an opportunity to win €1,000 every month, via energiahub.ie, to invest in business growth and/or energy efficiency programmes, culminating in a €2,000 prize.

Energia, which has been in operation in Ireland since 1999, has over 60,000 business customers, representing 26% of the overall Irish business electricity and gas market.

Speaking about their sponsorship relationship, Mr Alan Mulcahy, Business Markets Manager, Energia said: “We estimate most businesses can reduce their energy usage by 20% by making a few simple changes. This new hub offers essential information and practical advice like this for SMEs that they can use every day to help power their business, regardless of size. It is a great fit with what George and the Kick Start Your Business team have been doing on their show and we are delighted to have been able to come on board as partners”.

Garrett Harte, Editor in Chief of Newstalk 106 – 108 fm said “We are delighted to partner with Energia once again and welcome them in this case to The Right Hook programme.
