Energia lights up Wexford Youths Women

After their recent adventure in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, the Wexford Youths Women’s team overcame their disappointment at finishing second in their qualifying group by receiving a huge boost -  Energia wish to continue  the successful sponsorship  that commenced last season. Energia provide plenty of support in the community through local  sponsorships and are always on the lookout  for projects that are unique.

Energia now has a wider brand appeal as it supplies domestic customers, and has  become a leader in the market for its dual fuel deals. The benefits for both parties are clear to see with Energia increasing their brand awareness and association with quality local sponsorships, while Wexford Youths Womens FC are riding on the success of last season’s League winning campaign and the spike in interest in Womens Football after the recent FIFA Womens World Cup in Canada.

Wexford Youths Women’s FC General Manager, Laura Heffernan, stated, “The deal with Energia will bring a whole new level to the professionalism expected from within our club. A deal with such a huge company with high brand appeal does not come along very often and we appreciate the support of Energia for our bid to retain our Continental Women’s National League title this season. Each player and member of the backroom team will benefit from this support and we all look forward to building a strong link through some interesting promotional opportunities.”

Energia Key Account Manager Michael Nugent , was delighted to announce the deal saying, “As a brand, Energia is growing rapidly.  We know women’s sport is huge and this is a great opportunitiy to support  participation in sport and the maintenance of healthy lifestyles. Wexford Youths Women’s team is an ideal sponsorship partners as the players involved act as incredible role models and have shown that we, as a nation, can compete on a European stage. We are also delighted to align ourselves with the future of the International Women’s Senior squad as hopefully the five Wexford Youths Women’s FC players who received their first Senior caps last season will go on to represent Ireland for years to come.”

“We will also help develop the supporter base of the club by running online and social media competitions through our channels as part of the package.”

Wexford Youths Women’s FC Head Coach, William Doyle remarked, “The financial burden that is lifted from securing a main sponsor will help the team to focus on the football aspect of their involvement in the club. This deal should enable us to mount a serious challenge this season to retain our Continental Women’s National League title and give us another opportunity to compete in the UEFA Womens Champions League. It is our responsibility as a club to ensure that Energia receive value for their investment and we will endeavour to surpass their expectations on all fronts.”
