Energia Announces Partnership with Irish Rugby


Energia Strengthens Its Commitment to Irish Rugby Becoming Official Energy Partner to the IRFU and Title Sponsor of the All-Ireland League.

Energia, one of Ireland’s leading energy suppliers, today announced its official partnership with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU). This five-year partnership will see Energia become Official Energy Partner to Irish Rugby and title sponsor of both the Men’s and Women’s All Ireland League (AIL) competitions. The partnership will also include title sponsorships of the Energia Club International Competition, Energia Bateman Cup and Energia All-Ireland Junior Cup.
Irish rugby, from club to country, has been on an upward trajectory with a fan base growing year on year. The last 18 months has seen some thrilling clashes both here in Ireland and across Europe. On the international stage, we witnessed a historic win over world champions New Zealand which has Irish Rugby now sitting proudly ranked 3rd in the world as they gear up for their trip to Japan.
Energia understands the importance of AIL clubs in creating a world-class international team and have worked closely with Irish Rugby over the past few months to deliver a sponsorship package that facilitates the future development of rugby in communities up and down the country.
Energia, is already dedicated to powering rugby as Official Energy Partner of Leinster Rugby, and title sponsor of Energia Park and is committed to helping clubs reach their sustainability goals within their local communities.

Commenting on the announcement Devin Toner, Ireland International said: ''I am delighted to see Energia partner with Irish Rugby to help support rugby clubs across the country. The All-Ireland League gave me the opportunity to be where I am today, doing something I enjoy and representing my country at the same time.''
