Ciara Moane | Key Account Manager

Ciara Moane | Key Account Manager

In January 2017, the role came up for a Key Account Manager in Energia. I thought this would be a great job for me as it is people focused and would broaden my horizons within the business. It was a very positive move in my career, an opportunity to see one of the most crucial areas of the business, the retail side. What I like most about this new role is that every day is different and brings a new challenge. I have great people around me which is key to being happy in any role. They are very supportive, encouraging, and there when I need them. I get to utilise my outgoing personality as a Key Account Manager, doing my best to energise and motivate my team and deliver the results the business expect and more. I also worked with the Trading team for 10 years which has given me a very strong attention to detail which is key in helping manage customer accounts to a high standard. Within Energia there is plenty of scope to continue my professional development and pursue further career ambitions.

Mandy Reid | Customer Service Manager

I joined Energia in April 2006 as Customer Service Manager servicing commercial customers. When I joined the company the team was in its infancy but had a clear aim to provide excellent customer service. One of my primary goals was to promote this idea throughout the company. In 2012 my role expanded to include management of support staff for both LEU & SME based in the Dublin office. This provided an exciting opportunity to gain insight into sales and marketing teams and helped me establish new internal & external relationships. I have been involved in several projects over the years including upgrade of our billing system, implementation of new telephone & reporting systems, smart metering and more recently GDPR. Industry knowledge is an important part of my role, so I enjoyed representing Energia at regulatory meetings for both the ROI & NI markets. The most satisfying part of my job is developing staff and watching them progress by offering support, mentoring and growth opportunities. I enjoy the variety of my role because each customer is unique and I love the challenge that this brings.

Brian Mullen | Operation & Maintenance Manager – Renewables

I joined Energia in 2005 and initially started with the business in the role of Manufacturing Technican within the Operations department at the Huntstown power plant. I later took on the role of Production Manager within this same team. During this time, I was fortunate to be present for the construction and commissioning of Huntstown Unit 2 in 2007 where I had the opportunity to learn from the challenges of this project. In 2011 I moved to the role of Operations & Maintenance Manager of Energia’s renewable fleet. At that stage the fleet had an installed capacity of circa 25MW across five windfarms which has continued to grow to 24 sites with an installed capacity of circa 400MW to date. I enjoy working with Energia due to the variety of my role. I also like the people I work with who are dynamic and creative and the best at what they do. Finally, I enjoy the social aspect of the business - from charity runs to 5-a-side to the various sports and social outing throughout the year, there is always something to do.

Trevor Graham | Business Analyst

I joined Energia in January 2016 as a Business Analyst working on the Smart Metering project. It was an enjoyable introduction to Energia and gave me the opportunity to work with many people from various parts of the business. Since the project team demobilized I have been working on a number of interesting projects including Business Improvement, Regulatory/Compliance and BAU. My role requires me to deliver a wide range of tasks which makes work interesting and challenging. Tasks can vary from managing projects to documenting processes to facilitating workshops & meetings. Energia is always trying to move forward and looking for new ways to improve. This results in a fast paced, exciting place to work as new projects are always developing. The people in Energia are great to work with and there is plenty of Sports & Social activities throughout the year to enjoy after work.

Linda Reilly | Campaign Planner

Linda Reilly | Campaign Planner

I’ve worked with Energia as the Campaign Planner for the Customer Value Management team since March 2017. Reporting into the Customer Value Manager and working with our Data and Analytics team, my role is to help to define and develop a holistic CVM framework and strategy for the Energia customer base including on-boarding, cross-sell, renewal and win-back programmes. As a team, we are primarily responsible for reducing churn while also improving customer lifetime value and overall customer experience. This can be a challenging task as the nature of the current Irish energy market means that customers are extremely savvy and likely to easily switch provider. But challenging can also mean rewarding and there are a lot of opportunities for us to make improvements that benefit both our customers and the business. For me the best part about working for Energia is the people I work with. I am fortunate to have some very talented and innovative colleagues who I am constantly learning new things from and who make coming to work each day a very fulfilling experience!
