Energia announces partnership with Dogs Trust, Ireland’s largest dog welfare charity

The partnership will see Energia staff participate in numerous exciting events over the course of the year to raise vital funds for Dogs Trust. Staff also look forward to engaging in volunteering activities and Dogs Trust organised events.
 
Dogs Trust arrived in Ireland in 2005, and is Ireland’s largest dog welfare charity. The Charity is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life free from the threat of unnecessary destruction. To achieve their mission, they rescue, care for and rehome stray and abandoned dogs, as well as educate the public about responsible dog ownership, with the ultimate aim of reducing the number of dogs put to sleep in Ireland. In 15 years, Dogs Trust has helped over 17,000 stray and abandoned dogs get back on their paws and into loving homes. Dogs Trust also employs an Education & Community Team of six who deliver free curriculum linked workshops, based around responsible dog ownership, to primary schools across Ireland. To date, the team have delivered over 16,000 workshops, reaching over 490,000 children.
