The diverse nature of the exhibition gives a really full appraisal of how techniques and subject matter have changed over the last fifty years but the fundamental gesture of painting remains the same.

Wexford artist Nick Roche will present a talk on his current exhibition Int-Roche-Spective including an overview of his practice to date. Nick is an artist for Marvel Comics on Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, Spider-Man & Deadpool and more. Nick is also well known for his work on IDW Publishing’s Transformers series of comics. His most notable work in this series is the multi-part Wreckers Saga, one of the franchise’s most acclaimed works.

Killarney - Ross Castle

Ross Castle sits on the edge of Killarney’s lower lake and was built by O’Donoghue Mór in the 15th century. The Castle came into the hands of the Brownes who became the Earls of Kenmare and owned an extensive portion of the lands that are now part of Killarney National Park. Rent a rowboat and get out onto the lake to take in the spectacular views.

An easy yet beautiful walk through the southeastern extremity of the Burren region that will take you approximately two hours. The 400 hectares Dromore Woodland Nature Reserve is known for the diversity of its flora and fauna. It is packed with nature's marvels to explore, with a river, lakes, limestone pavement, and rich woodland species. Plus several historical sites including the 17th century O’Brien Castle, the site of Cahermacrea Castle, the site of Killakee Church, two ring forts and a lime kiln. Start from the village of Ruan (northwest of Ennis town) and follow the purple National Loop arrow.

Ulster Folk & Transport Museum

It’s time to go back in time – by rail, if you like. Thatched cottages, authentic period buildings – including an old-time picture house, a post office and a corner shop – set the scene for life one hundred years ago. At the Ulster Folk Museum, you can try out local trades such as basket weaving or watch a blacksmith at work and meet some of the horses, donkeys and hens that kept the rural world turning.
If you’re a railway enthusiast, you’ve a treat in store too at the Ulster Transport Museum. There’s an impressive collection of steam locomotives, passenger carriages and goods wagons to explore.
