Wildlife Detective Family Activity

This outdoor activity provides a careful balance of structured activities alongside time and space for your own exploration. On registration you will receive your Wildlife Detective Map, your quest with the help of our trail finder clues is to use the map to uncover the Mini-Beast Camp, here you will undertake a mini-beast scavenger hunt led by our activity leader, finding creepy crawlies and learning more about the unique insects that call this woodland their home.

Connacht Fleadh & Festival

The Connacht Fleadh is a traditional Irish music festival which takes place in Sligo, Ireland between June 20th-July 3rd 2022. With Music, performances, culture, talks, guided walks, film screening, history, archaeology and visits to historic sites.
Hothouse Flowers, Téada, Moxie, The Blackwater Céilí Band, Comhaltas National Folk Orchestra of Ireland, The Unwanted are among the names to play outdoor concerts on the gig rig. They'll also have a range of lectures, recitals, walks and talks and much more besides.

Thomas Francis Meagher Tricolour Celebrations

The Thomas Francis Meagher Tricolour Celebration is a cultural and historical event held over three days, which commemorates the flying of the Irish National Flag for the first time by Thomas Francis Meagher in Waterford on March 7th 1848.
Waterford City welcomes veterans, military and diplomatic representatives along with members of the 69th Brigade New York. The event consists of a book launch on Friday 01 Julay and a series of lectures on the Saturday morning in Waterford Museum of Treasures.

Festival Edenderry

Admission: Free
Festival Edenderry is built around an international busking competition with a €1000 first prize. The 2018 winner was Italian singer/guitarist Roby Mencaglia and in 2019 the winner was Tia Burke from Newbridge who later featured in Electric Picnic.

From July 01 to 03, Edenderry Co. Offaly will host it's annual community festival. Featuring an international busking competition, funfair, art exhibitions, music with local and international bands. A highlight of the festival this year will be the appearance of Comicon characters, during the dedicated children's day, Sunday 03 July, when they will interact with the children for photographs and play.

Clonmel Junction Arts Festival

Tipperary’s version of the Circus is Coming to Town. Clonmel Junction Arts Festival arrives in Clonmel from July 01 - 10. The Junction Dome, a temporary performance structure for theatre, literature, and more comes alive.
This year the festival will use its innovative Junction Dome as a space for live performances in theatre, spoken word, film, and more, bringing audiences and artists together for a 10-day celebration of the arts.
Just like the circus coming to town, the dome will arrive to house many spectacular events from the acrobatic dance of the fabulous Cikada Circus to an up-close-and-personal interview with writer Liz Nugent.

The Barretstown Big Picnic is back! Taking place on Sunday 3rd July, we will be opening the gates of Barretstown Camp to the public, to join us for a magical open day. Throughout the day we will be running all our usual activities, and we will have a bunch of special guests helping us to make the day extra special.

Killykeen Forest Park

Join our Geopark guide, Fergal Connolly, for this relaxing, waymarked meandering walking trail in the picturesque setting of Killykeen Forest Park along the shores of the beautiful Lough Oughter lake complex.
Visit the megalithic tombs on Gortanoul and have sight of the iconic Lough Oughter Castle. Learn about the rich and varied plant and wild life inhabiting the forest and waterways. Keep your eyes peeled for native species such as the  jay, red squirrel, pine marten ,Irish hare, water fowl and buzzard.

Galway Garden Festival 2022

Come to Claregalway castle, have a coffee and light refreshment, hear some live music and listen to some poetry.

Are you prepared for some woodland wilderness and wisdom? Come along to innocent drink’s big rewild school for an action-packed, fun-filled family day exploring Ireland’s wild, with special guest, garden-guru, Diarmuid Gavin.
innocent big rewild school is a free event open for families to come along for a day of fun out in nature. It includes a family friendly hike in the beautiful Wicklow Mountains coordinated by innocent’s hiking expert Mel McDermott (Galz Gone Wild), who will share her expertise of the beautiful nature surrounding the attendees.
The day will also include fun nature connection games with Sarah Hourigan (Nature Therapy Ireland) to learn about our environment.

An Tóstal Festival

An Tóstal in Drumshanbo has the distinction of being the only place in Ireland that An Tóstal has continued to run every year since 1953. This year the festival takes place Thursday June 30th to Sunday July 3rd.  Among the events taking place during the festival are The Handyman, a play by Seamus O’Rourke, a performance by the Tumbling Paddies, a family fun day and new this year An Tóstal Craft Fair.  Also new this year is a Cocktail Masterclass taking  place in conjunction with The Shed Distillery.

Italian Fusion Festival 2022

The Italian Fusion Festival returns this summer!
The Italian Fusion Festival, the biggest Italian Festival in Europe, is organised by Radio Dublino, the only Irish Radio programme in Italian since 2013.
The festival will bring you a lineup of the most talented multicultural bands for an evening of jazz, Italian food and visual art!
