Description: Dublin City Council, Northwest Area are delighted to offer a FREE Sustainable Gardening Course for people living in the Finglas and Ballymun area.

This course will be run over two dates and you need to be able to attend both dates to sign up. The course covers everything you need to know to improve your area for biodiversity and grow chemical free. This course is particularly interesting for Tidy Towns groups, Allotment Holders, Green Schools Coordinators, and those wishing to really reduce their impact on the planet.

DescriptionThe festival is held in the beautiful surroundings of St Anne’s Park with its Rose Garden and scenic walks.

The annual Rose Festival 2022 returns to St Anne’s Park in Raheny on the weekend of the 16th and 17th of July.

This year’s festival is jam-packed with activities for the whole family with a whole host of things to see and do including live music and dancing.

As every year, there will be plenty of stalls with plants and flowers, arts & crafts and food vendors.

Admission: Attendance is free from Wednesday - Saturday. All proceedings from Sunday’s tickets will go Ukrainian Badminton Federation to help fund their players to compete in Para Badminton International events.

Description: The AIG 4 Nations Para Badminton International is an exciting new Para Badminton International event that is welcomes the world's best Para Badminton players to Ireland. The event will rotate each year with England hosting in 2023 and Scotland hosting in 2024.

The first edition of the AIG 4 Nations Para Badminton International will be held in Dublin and will replace the existing Irish Para Badminton Open. The event has been sanctioned as part of the BWF Grade 2 Level 1 Circuit, which is the highest level of event in the BWF world circuit.

The finals day of the AIG 4 Nations Para Badminton International will be held at the National Indoor Arena on the 17th July 2022 with finals day coverage kicking off on TG4 at 12:00. There will be three matches on Court 1 that will be broadcast live on TG4.The finals day is more than Court 1, in person you can watch three courts live followed by the awards ceremony presentation. First games start at 11am.

Description: Come and watch the parade and annual flag-raising ceremony supported by the Defence Forces commemorating the Flight of the Wild Geese and celebrating the friendship between Ireland and France. The Irish, French and European anthems will be performed for the occasion by the Boherbuoy Brass & Reed Band.

The parade will include reenactors from En Garde, the Society for Franco-Irish History, and members of the following veteran associations whom we wish to thank most sincerely for their participation: The French Foreign Legion Veterans Association of Ireland, the Limerick Branch of the Irish Naval Association, the I.U.N.V.A. (Post 6), the Patrick Sarsfield Branch of the O.N.E. and the Limerick Branch of the Royal British Legion of Ireland.

Description: Experience 14 days of extraordinary this July 11-24th at the multidisciplinary Galway International Arts Festival, including live music, theatre, opera, visual arts, street spectacle, dance, discussion and comedy.

Founded in 1978, Galway International Arts Festival (GIAF) is a major cultural organisation, which produces one of Europe’s leading international arts festivals; develops and produces new work that tours nationally and internationally; and presents a major discussion platform, First Thought Talks.

The Festival will this year return to its traditional place in the calendar, in July (11-24), with a full multidisciplinary line-up, including theatre, opera, visual arts, live music, street and talks. The live music line-up, which includes performances from Pixies, The Flaming Lips, Kaiser Chiefs among others, has already been announced, while the full programme will be announced in mid-May.

Clean Coasts and Fáilte Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way Community Clean-up Sligo event will include a beach clean-up of Enniscrone Beach along with tea, coffee and treats provided by T2 Coffee Van so be sure to remember to bring along your reusable cups!
