HB Ice Cream Fundays
It is that time of year again when we are planning the HB Ice Cream Fundays Campaign. If you are interested in hosting an ice cream party this June, please fill in the form or call 1890 37 37 37. We will be sending out party packs as soon as possible which will include posters, invitations, balloons and of course vouchers for your HB Hazelbrook Farm Ice Cream. Don’t forget, you can have your party anywhere and for any occasion – your home, school, sports club or office. Why not have an ice cream party to celebrate your birthday, communion, anniversary, graduation or just to celebrate your love of ice cream!!                                    
Street Feast
Street Feast is a day of local lunches across Ireland on 11th June, hosted by you and your neighbours. They can be anywhere really – out on the street, in a local park or in your front garden. There are lots of good reasons to have a Street Feast, but it’s really just a great excuse to eat great food, celebrate your local community and meet new people who live near you.

Bloomsday Festival
June 16th is Bloomsday, the very day in 1904 on which all the action of James Joyce’s renowned novel Ulysses takes place. A lively celebration of all things Joyce, join avid Joyceans from all over the world as they descend on Dublin on June 16th. In Dublin, where the novel is set, the Bloomsday celebrations take place across the week, with most of the fun and frivolous activities taking place on the day itself.

National Flower Festival
The AOIFA National Flower Festival 2017 will take place in Ardee from Friday June 9th to Sunday June 11th 2017 St. Mary's Church of Ireland & Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee, Co. Louth. Supporting Irish Association for Cancer Research. The 2017 festival, this year called ‘Celtic Way’, will come to Ardee two years after it’s last outing in Ennis, Co. Clare. AOIFA is the Irish Association of Irish Floral Artists and comprises of 90 clubs across the country and has around 6,000 members in total.

Clareen Traditional Festival
Clareen is a village between Birr and the Slieve Bloom mountains in County Offaly, it is rich in historical and agriculture tradition. Medieval Fayre
Athlone Castle Visitor Centre hosts the 5th Annual Medieval Fair on Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th June, from 12pm – 5pm. Visitors will get an opportunity to step back in time and experience live demonstrations of fencing and Medieval weapons, taste samples of Medieval food treats, challenge themselves with some Medieval games as well as learning about the dress and customs of our Medieval ancestors.

Wicklow Seafood Festival
Wicklow Seafood Festival will take place on Sunday, 11 June 2017 from 11-7pm on the South Quay. It will be a collaboration by local restaurants and businesses taking part in Chef Demonstrations, providing delicious seafood dishes to whet your appetite.  There will also be artisan food producers and crafts.
To make this a real family day out, there will be boat trips to Wicklow Head and water based activities, not to mention that it will also be Sammy the Seal’s Birthday that day, and no doubt he will cause a stir at feeding time!  There will also be puppet shows, face painting, train rides, music and much much more.

Bookworms Children Literary Festival
The Bookworm Festival is back! Roscommon’s Children’s Literary Festival runs from Wednesday 7th June to Saturday 10th in a number of locations including Roscommon Arts Centre. Roscommon Library, Molloy’s Artisan Bakery, Gleeson’s Townhouse, The Abbey Hotel and The Quad Centre. There are theatre events, storytelling, workshops, book clinics, poetry reading, bookswap shops and lot’s more family friendly events taking place throughout the festival.

UK Pipe Band Championship
These championships allow local pipers, dancers and drummers to compete with participants from across the UK, Ireland and further afield. This event is free to attend and the competition will feature over 100 bands from varying competition grades ranging from juvenile right up to Grade One. Drum majors and highland dancers will also pass through the gates of the Stormont Estate, all hoping to be crowned UK champions. Between competitions there'll be a number of food and drink, tartan stalls and fun activities for young and old to enjoy. Or simply pack up the picnic blanket, come along and enjoy the fun.

Armagh County Agricultural Show
The Armagh County Agricultural Show and Country Festival will be held on Saturday 10th June 2017 in the beautiful surroundings of Gosford Forest Park, close to the village of Markethill, on the main Armagh / Newry Road, 6 miles from Armagh and 12 miles from Newry. Armagh County Show is one of the longest-running Shows in Ireland with a report of a Show being held in the City of Armagh as far back as 1829.  The agri-food and rural focus of the Show remains its central theme and this continues to be the driving force behind its organisation.  However, in addition, every effort is made to cater for all tastes and interests of the thousands of visitors that attend the event each year and the programme is constantly updated to reflect and respond to those interests.

Summer Jamm in Strabane Music Festival

Killarney Park Run
Killarney park run is a FREE weekly 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 9:30am in Muckross House, Gardens & Traditional Farms, The National Park, Killarney, Co Kerry. It is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan.
It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy this beautiful park and get physically active into the bargain. We want to encourage people to jog or run together irrespective of their ability.
