The Irish Cruiser Racing National Championships    
The ICRA Championship is the national championship for sailing keelboats and is held on an annual basis. This year, sailing clubs from all over Ireland will be fighting it out in Howth for the title. With 110 boats competing for the title over three days and over a thousand people expected to visit in support of their friends and family, Howth will be abuzz with the sea-loving crowds for the weekend. People will be visiting from near and far to witness the best in Irish sailing.

Bloomsday Festival          
June 16th is Bloomsday, the very day in 1904 on which all the action of James Joyce’s renowned novel Ulysses takes place. A lively celebration of all things Joyce, join avid Joyceans from all over the world as they descend on Dublin on June 16th.  Ahead of the big day, don't miss the Bizarre Bloomsday Brunch and Street Party on 12 June and experience North Great George’s Street as it goes back in time to host free street theatre, music and games for the whole family, with everyone encouraged to don their best Edwardian costume for these wild and wonderful celebrations.

Medieval Fair    
Step back in time for a weekend of revels at the Medieval Fair in Athlone Castle.  Athlone Castle Visitor Centre is delighted to be hosting its 4th annual Medieval Fair in association with the Society for Creative Anachronism on 11th & 12th June. Seal Release & Rescue   
This is the final public seal release of the season!  A few remaining grey seal pups are finally healthy, and ready to head out to sea. The release will happen at noon. The Galway Sessions     
The 2016 festival will have a large variety of events including gigs in theatres and pubs throughout Galway City, street entertainment and a pipe band. A concert to commemorate the 1916 rising and Galway’s connection entitled ‘Remembering Eamonn Ceannt’ will take place on Wednesday 15th June. Events are staged at various locations and are scheduled daily from 1pm to 1am so there will be plenty of opportunity for everyone to sample some part of the festival.

Yeats Day Celebrations
