LEGO Minifigures Hunt The Boof Thief  
A new LEGO Minifigures hunt going on in the library to run alongside our 'Hunting Stolen Books' exhibition. 13 LEGO figures were connected with the library's history including a book thief.  Children can hunt for them in the library.  Adults/Concessions are €3 but children are free!!!!

Comedy Showhouse 2017          
Comedy Showhouse is a confident showcase of the best comedy Ireland has to offer, seen through the lens of radio. Dublin Port Riverfest     
This June Bank Holiday, North Wall Quay will once again play host to the Dublin Riverfest.
Dublin Riverfest 2017 will be taking over the River Liffey from the Sean O’Casey bridge at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay right out through Dublin Port and into Dublin Bay with a variety of exciting activities and events.

International Harbour Food Festival
A unique event featuring over 24 international food concessions and featuring historical re- enactments (public theatre). The event will be free and open to the public. The Festival will also feature an exhibition of 16 local Marine Artists with unique interpretations of the Harbour they see around them.

Bloom Fringe
Watch out for pop-up forests and street art transforming our unloved gritty spaces into pretty urban oases in the heart of Dublin.
There will be workshops, street art, interventions, community open days, film screenings, installations, exhibitions, foraged food and guerrilla gardening. Bloom Fringe embraces the challenge to reintroduce nature and biodiversity into neglected urban and civic spaces.

The Cat Laughs Comedy Festival 2017    
Established in 1995, the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival, referred to in the international comedy world simply and affectionately as Kilkenny, has in the past hosted such international comedy luminaries as Bill Murray, Zach Galafianakis, Louis CK, Peter Kay, Ross Noble, Bill Bailey, Jo Brand and Laura Kightlinger, and has also helped launch the international careers of Irish comedians such as Dylan Moran, Dara Ó Briain, Graham Norton and many others.

Kilkenny Africa Day 2017              
The Kilkenny African Community, in collaboration with the Kilkenny County Council and the Kilkenny Integration Forum, and sponsored by Irish Aid, wishes to you to its forth-coming Africa Day celebrations on the 3rd – 4th June 2017 here in Kilkenny. Mullingar International Horse Show + Family Fun Days  
The 9th Mullingar CSI 2* International Horse Show runs from Friday the 3rd to Monday 6th of June 2016.In addition to four days of top show jumping competitions there is entertaining displays and family friendly activities across the showgrounds on Sunday 5th& Monday the 6th of June. Cong Food Village Festival           
Cong Food Village was established in January 2015 to help educate youth, community and visitors all about, local food. Supporting local farmers and producers is key to this incentive. Organisers hope that celebrating this wonderful food culture will contribute to a sense of community spirit and togetherness.
Regular workshops are held in schools and venues around the community with forages, dinners and events also included in the programme to promote awareness on how good food can be used as a focal point for bringing people together.

Cork Harbour Festival    
Cork Harbour Festival celebrates the city's maritime heritage with its third annual edition this year, boasting all sorts of fun activities. There will be a seafood market brimming with morsels from the sea freshly caught by Cork's fishing community but if you would rather be responsible for your own catch of the day, you can always go crab fishing in Cobh or boating in the harbour. If rowing takes your fancy, you'll have the opportunity to practice with some refreshing kayaking available nearby.

Ireland BikeFest provides a getaway bikers' weekend like no other. A free, open biker festival, this three-day motorcycle and free music extravaganza takes place across Ireland's June Bank Holiday weekend. A thrilling social event for the biker community from over 20 countries globally, the festival also welcomes families and enthusiasts. Visitors do not even have to own a bike; they can just bask in the glory of some slick, well-built touring machines and enjoy the fun and festival atmosphere in the Bike Village.

K-Fest Music and The Arts          
K-Fest is a celebration of this aspect of Kerry life. Last year's festival drew on the various artistic undertakings at work in Kerry at the time; for instance, they held an outdoor, inflatable screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in homage to the islands off the coast, which had been home to the cast and crew of the famous film for months. They also couldn't let the notable death of David Bowie in 2016 slide by unmentioned, celebrating his musical life with a tribute by Oh Happy Day choir. Killorglin, Kerry

Gran Fondo Giro d'Italia Northern Ireland            
The Giro d'Italia Big Start legacy event returns to Northern Ireland on Sunday 4 June 2017. Like 2015 and 2016, the 2017 event will be a special experience with fully closed, policed roads, two challenging routes and a post ride party with Italian cuisine, beer and wine. The Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Northern Ireland weekend is fast becoming one of the must-ride sportives in the UK and Ireland. The event is rider-focused and the organisers understand what is important to Gran Fondistas and aim to deliver a special experience.

Footsteps in the Forest at Slieve Gullion Forest Park, Winner of the 2016 Heritage Council Cool for Kids category, is on the 3rd and 4th of June. Follow the path to an enchanted land at Slieve Gullion Forest Park this summer – Footsteps in the Forest are all around… Most of the Giant Adventure at Slieve Gullion Forest Park is ticket-less, you don’t need a ticket to enjoy the fun and festivities. You’ll have a chance to get up close and personal and maybe even get a picture with some of these larger than life characters from the world of myths and legends.
