Embroidery is craft which has morphed and adapted over time as new technologies have influenced it, and the growth of artificial intelligence and computational creativity
have the potential to once again transform this handcraft , as you can see with Hoopla, a HUMANS NEED NOT APPLY exhibit that uses an AI system to design embroidery sampler patterns that are then hand-stitched.

This is being composed by Anne-Marie O’Farrell who is composer in residence at Mary Immaculate College.

Bealtaine Festival            
The festival is a national celebration of arts and creativity in the older generation. The festival will officially be launched tomorrow at the Regional Culture Centre (RCC) in Letterkenny. This will include a talk on Active Citizenship from Rory Cleary of Active Retirement Ireland. It will feature music from jazz legends Gay McIntrye and John Trotter. This launch will begin at 11am.
