Dogs Aid Dog Parade!
Lucan Family Fun Day
This year is the 30th anniversary of Dogs Aid!
During that time, Maggie has rehomed thousands of dogs. To celebrate this, we are inviting you to our Dog Reunion at the Red Stables in St Anne's park on Sunday 10th September at 2pm.
We understand that many of our supporters won't be able to make it on the day, but we are asking you to support us by registering with the link below. (€10 or €5 unwaged)
As well as a short parade around the park, we will be having a raffle and prizes for the waggiest tail, most unusual name, most dubious crossbreed and more!
As we are 100% voluntary all the funds raised will go towards looking after the animals in our care, which includes a cattery and a very busy clinic on a Tuesday night.
Without Maggie and her team of dedicated volunteers, our dogs would have had no hope of a second chance. She has spent half her life looking after our four-legged friends, so let's say a big thank you!
All dogs welcome!

NYAH cross-border trad music weekend 8-10 September
From 8-10 September, the Nyah Comhaltas will be present a weekend of traditional music and dance which celebrates the music that unites all corners of the island of Ireland.
Ireland is a multi-hued tapestry composed of the threads of its people. The rich and varied traditions of this land add to the vibrancy and colour of that tapestry.
Those traditions are the music, songs, dances and stories of all who dwell in her. Throughout the ages Ireland has grown with each addition, but there have also been divisions. What divides us, an adherence to tradition, is also what will bring us together and this is most apparent in an number of North/South initiatives. The most recent manifestation of this is the co-operation between the Northern Ireland Funding scheme & Creative Ireland in bringing together communities from both sides of the border in a celebration of what makes us unique and binds us together.
Music, as we say, is a universal language that speaks to all races and creeds. The latest NYAH County Cavans Comhaltas Ceolteoirí Éireann's project aims at harnessing that language to unite.
The project will bring musicians and singers from the North's two main traditions together in a three day celebration of music with the intention of showing that there is much more common ground than they imagined. It also offers a showcase for some of the finest local, national and International traditional music talent.
