This adorable little gallery café is located on North Fredrick Street just around the corner from the Hugh Lane Gallery. The food is pretty simple but tasty with a full Irish breakfast, a veggie breakfast and a range of sandwiches and Paninis on offer. The Mozzarella Melt is particularly good while the coffee, which is a little bit on the bitter side, may not be to everyone’s taste. Outside the café there are a couple of tables while the interior is light, bright and laid back, with mellow music playing and friendly staff giving a pleasant Sunday afternoon vibe to the many local office workers who make this place a mid-week must
Bibi’s is a cosy neighbourhood café serving breakfast, lunch and brunch at the weekends.
The ever-changing and evolving menus are driven by creativity, innovation and the use of prime produce from Ireland and abroad. Chef and owner Maisha Lenehan, working with her brother Geoff, have combined their individual skills to create a unique dining experience in the heart of Dublin 8.
- Queen of Tarts
Visit Queen of Tarts on Cow’s Lane, in Dublin’s buzzing Old City, where you can relax on the outdoor terrace with a coffee or glass of wine and watch the world go by; or simply curl up inside with tea and a slice of warm plum tart. Or visit the original branch, just a step around the corner on Dame Street, facing the glorious Georgian facade of City Hall.
I first discovered Cottos pizza a few months ago. Since then I've become a fan of their brunch. Everything on the menu is really excellent, tasty and well cooked. After a late Friday evening (after work drinks) Cottos brunch is the perfect cure. My favourite spot in Stoneybatter. Beautiful food, gorgeous atmosphere and wonderful staff. The pizzas are fab, brunch is even better. Get the black pudding sandwich or the mushrooms on toast. Actually try everything at least once. Also great coffee and cake. They do takeaway too.
- The Bake house
The Bakehouse is a Bakery and Eatery in the heart of Dublin city, located beside the ha'penny bridge. We want to remind Dublin of the traditional foods & breads our parents and grandparents were raised on, and how comforting and satisfying these are! What exactly is Dublin coddle I hear you ask!? And as for Gurr cake??
We offer great traditional Irish baked goods and foods. Everything is freshly & lovingly prepared in house every day. Whether its enjoying our freshly ground coffee or loose leaf tea with a pastry, or a hearty pie with a glass of wine – there is something for any time of day & all tastes.
- Urbanity Coffee
Urbanity coffee is a small-batch roaster and speciality café located in Smithfield, Dublin 7. Started by three friends with a passion for good coffee and fresh, healthy food. We opened our doors in February 2016 and together with our dedicated team we have built a loyal following.
Here at Urbanity we try to make everything ourselves. That includes our almond butter and granola, to our relishes and pickles and all of our cakes and sweet treats. We even roast the coffee!
Where it isn’t feasible to make it ourselves, rest assured we use the very best suppliers. Our eggs are organic and supplied by Rod in Co. Louth. Our bread is baked locally (we bake the soda bread!) and comes from Thibault in Tartine and Vlad in Arún. We use Vernon’s for fruit and veg and The Village Dairy for our organic milk. Nua in Galway supply our specialist health foods. Our artisan products and cheeses are supplied by Lilliput Artisan Foods - just around the corner in Stoneybatter.
s surely this is the ultimate spot for tea and cake in Dublin city. Finding Cake Cafe for the first time is exciting enough as it it, walking through the Daintree building and through their little garden to get into probably worst kept secret in Dublin feels like a little adventure. You really feel like you've come across a totally hidden gem, but this place is far too popular for that to be the truth. And for good reason too.…
