Sweet sounding electricity savings for Royal Theatre Castlebar

The Royal Theatre and Event Centre Castlebar are set to benefit from sweet sounding energy savings in a major new deal with competitive energy provider Energia.

Under the terms of the deal Energia will provide the venue’s electricity for an initial one year period. The deal is another win for Energia as it grows its market share in the business electricity market.

Commenting on the deal, Pat Jennings, Managing Director of the Royal Theatre and Event Centre said: “In the current climate we are focused on getting the maximum bang for our buck when it comes to utilites and other business expenses. Energia are able to provide us with significant savings on our electricity costs, without loss in quality or service. As a result, making the switch to Energia was an easy decision.”

Energia has a 25% market share of the business electricity market on an all–island basis with 45,000 customers. Energia’s power stations at Huntstown in Dublin have the capability to supply up to 17% of Ireland’s electricity requirements on an all-island basis. The company also supplies 20% of all gas consumed in Ireland by the country’s largest industrial and commercial gas users.
