Watch some of last year's highlights

On March 21st some of the deserving awardees were able to join us in GROW HQ in Waterford to celebrate. We heard first hand what food growing means to communities, from tidy towns, to schools, to cancer support centres to rehabilitation centres. We listened to each of their stories, some brought a smile, some laughter and some tears, but all were profoundly moving.

Kilteevan National School developed an outdoor classroom which is centred around biodiversity. They planted trees, shrubs, flowers, plants, herbs & fruit trees.

St Brogan's finished work in their greenhouse & began clearing & furrowing other areas of the school where they can were able to plant fruit trees & berry bushes.

The funding allowerd the Ballymun Adult Read and Write Scheme to purchase plants & materials that allowed for a broader learning experience for the students studying QQI L2 Life Science.
