🎄 LOCATION: Belfast
TITLE: Belfast Continental Christmas Market

For over eleven years, Belfast’s City Hall has been transformed into a traditional German-style Christmas market, packed to the brim with 90 masterfully handcrafted wooden chalets. The display will inspire you to taste the best local and international food and drinks products. With warm, welcoming, festive bars offering a toasty place to enjoy a selection of beverages including Glühwein, mulled cider, hot chocolate and an excellent variety of continental beers, you’ll not want to leave!

While wandering through the festive craft stalls, enjoy the best of local manufacturing, attend performances by great chefs, take part in cooking classes for children or simply be dazzled by the Christmas lights. And of course, you can’t miss a photo opportunity with Santa Claus! Although it’s the beguiling Belfast City Hall all lit up for the occasion that makes this experience even more magical.

TITLE: GLOW – A CORK CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Also known by locals as Glow Cork, the market takes place in Bishop Lucey Park and includes a phenomenal light installation and a giant ferris wheel. The festive market offers a wide variety of crafts and entertainment. This iconic event actually has many focal stages to peruse. In fact, before you start to throw yourself entirely into this enchanting atmosphere, you should witness the switching-on of the Christmas lights from Patrick St, just to pre-taste the ravishing and exciting atmosphere prior to setting foot in the market.

Visitors to Glow in Bishop Lucey Park will enter the market via an ice tunnel, before strolling through the streets of a Medieval village. It’s possible to take a peek through the windows of Santa’s house and visit the Old Post Office (Padaí the Postman greets and shows kids where to post their letters to Santa).

For Christmas 2021 the City of the Tribes to be sparkling with the magnificent Galway Christmas Market from 6pm on Friday 12th November until Wednesday 22nd December 2021.
Although cancelled in 2020, the Galway Continental Christmas Market received over 650,000 visitors in 2019 and there were more than 50 wooden chalets located Eyre Square along with the Santa’s Grotto, the German Bier Keller numerous other theatrical delights throughout the four week fair.

Christmas is all about music and Kilkenny’s Yulefest is bringing the 'ceol and craic' centre-stage with their brand new Yulefest Bandstand on the Parade in the heart of the city centre. All weekend enjoy free live performances from some great Kilkenny musicians, up and coming talent and local choirs and performers.

Located in a gorgeous bandstand on the Parade in the heart of our festive Winter Market, this Yulefest event is one for all ages. This event is outdoors, free and un-ticketed just come along and enjoy some great music!

Nothing shouts Christmas markets more than a small, cosy and welcoming town all embellished with Christmas lights and decorations. Newport, Co. Tipperary, is one of those towns. Every Christmas, the Chapel Lane Community organises many alpine-style stalls where handmade crafts and local products are sold. This local non-profit organisation aims to raise funds every year for their Christmas market.

Raising awareness for local producers, promoting and developing local business and creating community spirit with fun events throughout the year, are what their goals look like. Jump on the Santa Experience during 7-8 December to experience some festive spirit, drink mulled wine and hot cider while visiting the Nativity crib.

Santa's House Express Drive-Thru Christmas is a magical self-driving Christmas experience where families can meet Santa in his grotto, see the elves in elftown, visit the Christmas funfair and get some tasty festive treats in the Woodland Village.

Santa’s House Express Drive-Thru Christmas is a magical experience! Each family bubble will travel in convoy together safely in their own car while enjoying the Festive Fun with Santa and his merry helpers.

The route takes you past Elf Town, Santa’s Toy Factory and the Reindeer Stables, followed by a visit to the awe-inspiring Twinkle Avenue and The Enchanted Forest, before meeting Santa in his Grotto - the big man himself will have a gift for each child and time to chat with the family.

Wave at the elves at Candy Cane Lane where the true magic of Christmas comes alive and get a professional family photo on Santa's Sleigh afterwards! Festive treats and the Christmas funfair wait for you in the Woodland Village at the end of your visit!

TITLE: Christmas Lights Festival

The festive season will officially begin in Fermanagh and Omagh on Saturday 20 November 2021 with the opening of the ‘Christmas Lights Festival’.

Organised by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, the ‘Christmas Lights Festival’ will see the facades of a number of buildings across the district transformed with custom light displays and projections from 6 pm to 11 pm each evening until 5 January 2022.

There will also be the traditional Christmas lights displays in Enniskillen and Omagh as well as a festive programme of entertainment in each town centre plus a range of Christmas activities and events across many of the Council facilities.

Christmas lights shows will take place nightly at the Intec Centre, Enniskillen and the Court House, Omagh from 6 pm – 11 pm from 20

TITLE: Twinkle Christmas Market Athboy

The Twinkle Christmas Market runs in ‘Twinkle Lane’ at the Lawrence.
in Athboy each Sunday to 20th December. The market itself has 15 artisan, food and gift stalls, and community stalls offering a local Christmas magazine, Athboy gift vouchers which have just been launched by Athboy Credit Union, live Santa window grotto and a Christmas Emporium. There is a click and collect shop located where the front bar would normally be operating.

Donnacha Geraghty will be offering a range of artisan food produce under The Black Bites label and there is a forthcoming offer of a Festive Food Box.

The Athboy Care and Share group is the main charity for the market.

Each week there is a cooking workshop demo by Jeff Norman, former TV 3 presenter, Arun, chef/owner of the Arun Indian Food produce, while Alan Krauss and Pauric White will also cook up a treat showcasing the Killua Castle Range of foods. There will also be a twinkle Gastro food menu to go and festive coffee beverages showcasing another local Trim based company, Essence Coffee.
