🍔 Bujo Dublin Mealkits:
Bujo, a burger restaurant in Dublin 4, had originally tried to stay open while very stringently adhering to social distancing measures. While this lasted a few days, they made the difficult decision to close for the safety of their staff and customers.
After closing for a few days, they came up with the concept of Bujo mealkits. The concept was simple, put all of the ingredients of the Bujo signature burger in a box with excellent instructions, and deliver them, contactlessly, to their adoring customers. With fans like Jamie Heaslip and Devon Toner praising them on social media, we see these mealkits being a flying success. The kits are €40 and available on their website and via their instagram.
We spoke to Gym & Coffee about their new MLR (Make Life Richer) challenge - read on to find out more and check out their community page on Facebook to get involved.
For the first 18 months of their business, they were online only. They made the decision two weeks ago to close all of our stores which was definitely a big challenge and tough on the team. Since then they have focused all of their efforts online and have seen some strong results.
Activating our Community Online:
So much of what we do is about bringing our community together to socialise around exercise. When we closed, we were in the middle of a 32 events series at our pop up store in Liffey Valley. But the current circumstances shouldn't stop us from connecting as a community as we believe a community is a social unit and not just a gathering. So, responding to some anecdotal feedback and queries from our community, we have decided to launch the Make Life Richer challenge and Community Hub.
The purpose of the MLR Challenge is to encourage our community members to start something this April. To treat April like January with a new years resolution approach. A lot of people have a lot more time on their hands, so it's a great opportunity to work in some new activities into your daily routine - learn a language, an instrument, start meditating, baking - ANYTHING!
Here's the run-down of what's happening:
The challenge will be held on our Facebook Community Hub. People can request to join and agree to the rules.
An official welcome and challenge announcement will be given by Brian O'Driscoll who will also take up his own challenge and help motivate people with his own updates on progress.
New How-To videos and motivational content will be created through partners e.g. Cycling Ireland, Yoga with Lydia, Bread 41 etc and uploaded to the hub, as well as posted through social and in some cases, within our blogs.
We will moderate + encourage discussion within the FB Hub and continue to push membership on all channels.
We have over 100,000 people in our community and by creating this Community Hub, we believe we will give them a safe and encouraging space to try something new this April and take a positive from current circumstances. Use this tough situation as an opportunity to start something.
