Energia, Ireland’s leading renewable supplier has announced that it will supply United Drug with renewable energy for the next two years.
Energia will supply renewable energy to warehouses and offices of Ireland’s largest pharmaceutical distribution company, United Drug, who have been responsible for delivering all COVID-19 vaccines across Ireland since December 2020. This partnership is a part of their commitment to reducing their carbon emissions by 2030 and is one step in their approach which has three main pillars: avoid, replace, and compensate.

Paul Reilly, Managing Director of United Drug said: “We are committed to reducing our carbon emissions and working on becoming more sustainable. We are delighted to partner with Energia as a sustainable, more environmentally friendly provider.

Alan Mulcahy, Head of Sales with Energia commented: “We are excited to be supplying United Drug with 100% renewable energy for their locations across the country. We know that sustainability is a big priority for businesses and at Energia, we are committed to supporting them in their journey towards sustainability and are delighted to be able to do so for United Drug. We look forward to being part of their continued success in the future.”

Renewable energy is tailor made for Irish businesses and Energia makes switching to clean, renewable energy easy. In a world tackling climate change, getting energy from clean sources shows customers, investors, employees, and the wider community that businesses are serious about commitments to sustainability, and decreasing their carbon footprint.
