Energia Powers IRFU’s Audio Description Service for Visually Impaired Fans
The IRFU, working with Vision Sports Ireland and supported by Energia, has launched a new audio description service designed to make rugby matches more accessible for blind and visually impaired supporters.
Specially trained volunteers will now provide live, real‑time audio commentary at games across all four provinces, giving fans a richer, more inclusive match‑day experience.
This service helps ensure that visually impaired supporters can follow the action with clarity, detail, and the same sense of excitement as everyone else.
