To mark his 75th birthday on August 31st – in a world first – Ireland's Hot Press magazine has curated musical tributes by 75 exceptional artists, to be broadcast to the world via YouTube, in August and September. Tune in to the Hot Press Youtube channel on the 15th and 16th of August to hear Wallis Bird and JC Stewart. Starting and 7pm sharp this is an event that shouldn’t be missed and right from the comfort of your own home.
The Workmans - Class Comedy return

As we look towards the future, join Monkeyshine Theatre to imagine, dream and play. Create your own story. This event is suitable for one household or “pod” group at a time. Brookfield Farm Meadow Walk & Honey Tasting, Nenagh

Experience a farm walk through acres of flower meadows on the shores of scenic Lough Derg, Co. Tipperary. Enjoy magnificent lake views, lovely flower meadows and crops, friendly sheep, birds and wildlife, beautiful broadleaf trees. Guests will also enjoy a talk on beekeeping and honey tasting to understand the Irish black bee and the importance of pollinators.

Limerick Connections - Art Exhibition

Limerick City Gallery of Art (LCGA) is delighted to present Limerick Connections an exhibition of works by artists associated with Limerick from the 70s to the present day. 67 artists are included in the show with a strong emphasis on painting. The diverse nature of the exhibition gives a really full appraisal of how techniques and subject matter have changed over the last fifty years but the fundamental gesture of painting remains the same.
Waterford Walls International Street Art Festival
When: July 13th-August 28th
Waterford City will see the arrival of the best-known names in Irish and international Street Art to paint in the city, complying with Health and Safety Covid - 19 restrictions. The artists will be arriving in the city on a rotation basis to comply with the Health and Safety guidelines and bring new art to the Walls of Waterford.

Artist Talk with Nick Roche
When: 15th August
Wexford artist Nick Roche will present a talk on his current exhibition Int-Roche-Spective including an overview of his practice to date. Nick is an artist for Marvel Comics on Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, Spider-Man & Deadpool and more. Nick is also well known for his work on IDW Publishing’s Transformers series of comics. His most notable work in this series is the multi-part Wreckers Saga, one of the franchise’s most acclaimed works.
Galway Potters Market

Crawford Art Gallery - Lucid Abnormalities Exhibition

Crawford Art Gallery is a national cultural institution located in a significant heritage building in the heart of Cork city dedicated to the visual arts, both historic and contemporary. The Gallery is home to a collection of national importance telling a compelling story of Cork and Ireland over the last three centuries. Curated by Dr Michael Waldron, this exhibition draws together familiar works from the collection by Margaret Clarke, Seán Keating, John Lavery, Daniel Maclise and many more.
Eastside Arts Festival - The Travelling Cycle Circus

Circus clowns and acrobats on bikes. - A 20 minute circus show.
A travelling bicycle circus show in which every pedal is a revolution. Tumble Circus are biking their world famous circus mischief to you! No need to go to the big top this year, this intrepid group of 6 acrobats will cycle to a location on the Connswater Community Greenway near you! Expect world class circus acrobats, jugglers and hula hoopers. A celebration of dead on skills, and an uplifting inspirational bit of fun!
Yoga Sessions Corrog Wood

Relax in the great outdoors with a refreshing session of outdoor yoga suitable for all skill levels. Drink in the sounds and smells of the woodland during this informal practice which includes breath work, relaxation and stretching. It is essential that you bring your own yoga mat and blanket as the session will operate in a Covid 19 secure manner.
Heritage Week 2020

County Donegal has become one of the places to be during ‘Heritage Week’.Over 120 events are taking place for National Heritage Week in County Donegal from Saturday, August 15 to Sunday, August 23, 2020 and most of them are free.

Killarney - Ross Castle
Ross Castle sits on the edge of Killarney’s lower lake and was built by O’Donoghue Mór in the 15th century. The Castle came into the hands of the Brownes who became the Earls of Kenmare and owned an extensive portion of the lands that are now part of Killarney National Park. Rent a rowboat and get out onto the lake to take in the spectacular views.

Dromore Wood Nature Reserve
An easy yet beautiful walk through the southeastern extremity of the Burren region that will take you approximately two hours. The 400 hectares Dromore Woodland Nature Reserve is known for the diversity of its flora and fauna. It is packed with nature's marvels to explore, with a river, lakes, limestone pavement, and rich woodland species. Plus several historical sites including the 17th century O’Brien Castle, the site of Cahermacrea Castle, the site of Killakee Church, two ring forts and a lime kiln. Start from the village of Ruan (northwest of Ennis town) and follow the purple National Loop arrow.
Ulster Folk & Transport Museum
When: 15th August
It’s time to go back in time – by rail, if you like. Thatched cottages, authentic period buildings – including an old-time picture house, a post office and a corner shop – set the scene for life one hundred years ago. At the Ulster Folk Museum, you can try out local trades such as basket weaving or watch a blacksmith at work and meet some of the horses, donkeys and hens that kept the rural world turning.
If you’re a railway enthusiast, you’ve a treat in store too at the Ulster Transport Museum. There’s an impressive collection of steam locomotives, passenger carriages and goods wagons to explore.
