Founded in 2005, the Clonakilty International Guitar Festival is a celebration of the guitar. It is not starch-collared or stuffy-nosed. From virtuosos to noodlers, all are welcomed and exalted!
We believe that there are two types of people in the world: those who play the guitar, and those who can't but want to! We aim to cater to both with recitals, workshops, seminars, street performances, school visits and informal sessions.

We are a multi-genre music festival, with an emphasis on Irish independent artists and international artists who have a reputation for an innovative approach to their practice.
