We are delighted to welcome visitors to the Gardens at Lismore Castle and Lismore Castle Arts for 2022 season. Please note the entrance to the Gardens is via the Green Road.
The Gardens at Lismore Castle encompass ten acres, including The Reilig Garden, which opened to visitors in 2021 and houses a swimming pool built by Adele Astaire and one of the oldest Sitka Spruce in Ireland.
Lismore Castle Arts is a contemporary gallery located in a renovated wing of Lismore Castle. We are delighted to announce that the main exhibition at Lismore Castle Arts for 2022, ‘Girls Girls Girls’, is curated by celebrated Irish fashion designer Simone Rocha. The exhibition looks at the female gaze from multiple viewpoints, celebrating a diverse range of approaches in an exhibition centering on female practices.
Family Fun Day

You are all very welcome to attend this year’s end of school year BBQ at the Round Tower with lots of food and activities to enjoy including a few laps of the Green on your bikes, trikes, tractors or anything you like, start time 1pm.
There will be plenty of games, food, drinks & cake stalls for everyone to enjoy as well as coffee available from the Tower and Bean in the heritage centre.
Weekly Wildflowers Tour

Summer's here, and wildflowers grace the fields, forests, and foreshores of habitats all around Ireland with a kaleidoscope of natural forms, scents and colours. Join us at the Gardens this summer and meet some of the natives that pop up in our "Wild Ireland" section each week, from familiar faces to rare and threatened blooms. Learn how they feed pollinators, disperse their seeds and play their part in healthy natural ecosystems!

Saturday June 25th the spectacular and very popular ‘Dinosaur Live Show’ returns to Quayside Shopping Centre for One Day Only and this is not to be missed!!
We will join Brad the intrepid explorer on a journey through the Jurassic Era as part of our Free Dinosaur Day Live, mini stage shows. Roaring fun with plenty of interaction, engagement and education. The show opens with Brad teaching children some interesting facts about Dinosaur’s and the Jurassic Era, a geologic period and system that spanned 56 million years. Brad will then bring out on stage two different species of Dinosaur’s which some of the children can pet and interact with – Terry the Triceratops & Vinny the Velociraptor Dinosaur! (fun interactive puppets).
Charleville Agricultural Show

The huge success of Charleville Show has ensured its position as the best 2-day Agricultural show in Ireland. Established in 1979 and grown from strength to strength every year. With numerous interesting events to be seen, varying from judging of cattle, horses, sheep, horticulture, dogs, arts & crafts, cookery and numerous children’s competitions, live music, pets corner, kids entertainment and a large display of Trade Stands and vintage machinery there is something for everyone.

Assembly Limerick Teen Art

Assembly is a place to connect with friends, the artists who draw, paint and imagine. Perfect for those who like to paint outside the lines and are free from school for the summer. The event will suit anybocy who wants to display their work, and anybody who wants to go along and see the best of art and illustrations from the next generation. We hope you will enjoy the great atmosphere, have a coffee at the cafes and celebrate the talent and skill of creative people.
Irish Famine Exhibition
When: June 25th, 26th
Admission: Family Ticket €30
This Exhibition tells the story of what happened during those horrific years. We use rare 19th century photographs, witness accounts, contemporary sketches as well as maps and statistical information. Also on display are three American Newspapers containing articles on the state of Ireland at this time. A 15-minute film with seating is included in the Exhibition and the average time spent by visitors is 1 and 1/4 hours.
Kilflynn Fairy Festival
When: 25th,26th June
Admission: €8 per person, under 2s free
The festival opens on Saturday 25th June at 6.30pm with a parade, street and on stage entertainment. The fun continues on Sunday morning, along a fairy trail, entertainment throughout the day with lots of your favourite characters. The fun begins from 11am.
Maynooth Town V Manchester United Premier League Legends

As part of MTFC’s fundraising campaign for its new full size Astro development the club are having a Festival of Football which will take place at Rathcoffey Road on the 25th June, featuring Man United Legends like Wes Brown, Mark Hughes and Denis Irwin who will play against 3 teams of players from Maynooth Town.
It will be a fantastic day of football with the ability to get photos, autographs and see some legends from Manchester United's past play in your local community club.

With classic rave tunes and pumpin’ beats, you and your mini-ravers can get lost in music together, with a playlist specially curated by Baby Rave resident DJ, Kwame Daniels. Relive your dancing days with uplifting tracks you’ll recognise.
Baby Rave is a participatory dance event for children under 4 and their accompanying adults encouraging parents and babies to dance together and explore rhythm and music. A DJ spins against a backdrop of dynamic video projections while you and your baby bounce with a team of dance facilitators in an ambient ‘club’ environment decorated with funky lights and hanging decorations, soft materials, parachutes and inflatables.
The Saturday Stretch

The Saturday Stretch. Every Saturday throughout June Oakfield Park have extended opening hours, live music, food specials in Buffers and later running trains.
With different acts playing live after 18:00 each week they have had an exciting line up so far.
It really is the perfect family day out, catch up with friends or date day with that special someone. It is suitable for all ages and the event runs from 11:00 until 21:00.

Kaleidoscope is about the family unit, family experiences and family moments. It offers a wide programme which appeals to all ages, interests and abilities.
Working with many of Irelands best arts organisations, the programme is designed to be interactive, educational, inspirational, entertaining and have ongoing impact for participants beyond the festival weekend.
The music programme encompasses across three stages, The Main Stage, Zozimus Stage and Jerry Fish Electric Show which celebrated credible Irish and international talent such as Imelda May, Tom Odell and BellX1.
Bantry Kupala Festival

Nenagh Castlefest is a weekend of music, free entertainment, great food, funfairs and fair fun in the grounds of the majestic 12th Century Nenagh Castle.
Now in its 3rd year, Nenagh Castlefest has grown year on year to bring the town of Nenagh alive for midsummer.
Come to the grounds of the majestic 12th century keep of Nenagh Castle, where you will find live music from across the genres including some of the top acts in the country and from the UK, open-air barbecue, funfair and activities for the children, castle tours, crafts and much more.
Armagh City Car & Bike Show

The Armagh City Car and Bike Show is driving into the Orchard county this summer on Sunday June 26 at the historic Shambles Market, with up to 150 vehicles on display with the event open to the viewing public from 12-4pm.
Trophies to be won, the viewing public will decide who walks away with a prize position from best car, best bike and show favourites.
Face painting and balloons for the kids, everyone is welcome to enjoy the relaxed event.

Comber Earlies Food Festival

As part of Taste Summer in Ards and North Down, which is running over two weeks 18 June to 3 July, Ards and North Down are delighted for the much-anticipated return of the Comber Earlies Food Festival on Saturday 25 June.
Be prepared to enjoy a wealth of artisan food and drink stalls, celebrity chef demos and tastings, music and lots more foodie favourites at this free family event.
This event will feature up to 40 food stalls in St. Mary’s Car Park, Comber Square, with local artisan producers, artisan bar, plus celebrity chef demonstrations by Theo Randall and local favourites such as Jim Crawford from No14 at the Georgian House showcasing the famous Comber Early potato.
