The SEAI scheme launched in January 2018 and provides a grant of up to €300 towards the purchase and installation of a home charger unit. The applicant must be the owner of an eligible new or second-hand electric vehicle. Make sure to check your eligibility here for the SEAI grant towards the purchase and installation of your home charger before installation.
*You will need to pay €300 upfront for your charger installation and if eligible, you will receive the €300 grant from the SEAI towards the cost of a standard charger installation. Additional charges may apply for non-standard installations.
Please do not proceed with any charger installation works before the start date on your SEAI Letter of Offer as you may not receive the full grant support available.
Please note that the grant process is handled entirely by the SEAI. Energia do not have visibility of grant applications so any queries need to be followed up directly with SEAI as we can not handle these on your behalf.
