Seachtain na Gaeilge is an international Irish language festival with Energia, which is the largest annual celebration of our native language and culture that takes place in Ireland and many other countries.
The 2023 ambassadors for the festival include: Maura Derrane, a television presenter and journalist, originally from Inis Mór. Manchán Magan, a renowned writer and documentary-maker, and Éadaoin Fitzmaurice, a content creator and marketer.
For this year's Seachtain na Gaeilge we’ve produced a big map of all the action going on.
We hosted a pop-up Gaeltacht in conjunction with Leinster Rugby on the 18th of February in their Fanzone in the RDS Arena. Music was provided by the very talented Maynooth University Trad Society. We had a panel discussion with Leinster players Cormac Foley, Ciarán Frawley and Joe McCarthy who showed us anyone is able to throw in a cúpla focal into their every-day conversations.
Here's your chance to learn some cúpla focal nua and start your #TraidisiúnNua.
