Ireland's largest green energy supplier

Energia is proud to be one of the top renewable energy companies in Ireland, currently supplying 25% of Ireland’s wind power. We only plan to grow, with a number of wind farms currently in development

At Energia we are committed to developing renewable and sustainable energy sources in Ireland.  Renewable energy has a positive impact on life for future generations and has numerous advantages over conventional energy sources, including:

  • Carbon emissions are much lower
The fuel supplies will not run out
It’s widely available in Ireland and doesn’t need to be imported
It’s not subject to price variations

Ireland has huge potential for harnessing wind power and Energia operates 40 wind farms in locations across the country, with 25% of the country’s total wind energy supplied through Energia.

There are currently a number of new wind farm projects in development, strengthening our contribution to Ireland’s energy policy objectives of securing diverse and sustainable supplies of green energy at competitive price

Energia Get Ireland Growing

Get Inspired. Get Involved. Get Growing!

About Energia Get Ireland Growing
Last year we gave 85 communities a share of the whopping €75,000 Get Ireland Growing Fund. This year we're back once again to give community food growing projects the cash boost they need to Get Ireland Growing.

The Goal
The goal of the Energia Get Ireland Growing Fund is to boost food growing projects all around Ireland. From hundreds of applications, we select some amazing projects to help grow, increase in size and contribute to Ireland's environment.

The Fund
The fund is split across three categories – Sow, Grow and Harvest with awards ranging from €500 to €2,000. One amazing community will receive a grand total of €5,000 for their initiative. Together GIY and Energia will award the grants to at least 85 community food growing groups up and down the country. We can't wait to play our part in boosting community food growing in a meaningful way.
