Prepay Meter FAQs

What about any outstanding balance I may have?

By switching to a Prepayment meter you are also ensuring you can gradually pay off any outstanding balance on your account. With each top up, 10% will go towards your outstanding balance until the balance is clear with the remainder credited to your meter for ongoing usage. We will notify you when the balance has been paid in full.

E.G., €100 transferred on to PPM at install, you purchase a €10 top up – your balance reduces to €99 (-€1) and €9.00 credit for on-going usage. 
 
Energia will send you a minimum of one and a maximum of four statements of account each year.
